Early Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers detained, blindfolded, handcuffed & beat 80-year-old Palestinian-American Omar Abdalmajeed As’ad. They claim they left him alive in a building that was under construction. He died soon after. It remains to be seen whether Israel will be held accountable.
Thursday morning, Israelis forces killed a young Palestinian man in a predawn raid on the Balata refugee camp. Hours later an Israeli settler committed a car-ramming attack against a Palestinian man near Ramallah, killing him.
Israeli human rights group B’Tselem reports that in 2021, Israel killed at least 313 Palestinian men, women, and demolished almost 300 residential structures, leaving 895 Palestinians homeless.
2021 has been particularly deadly for Palestinians: Israelis killed at least 282 Palestinians (77 children). 12 Israelis (1 child) were also killed.

El-Halabi is the director of the Gaza branch of World Vision, a Christian humanitarian aid organization. He was nevertheless subjected to 52 days of interrogation and torture…
