For years, Hollywood bigwigs have been using their outsized influence to keep the facts about Israel’s violent occupation hidden behind a veneer of victimhood. They have framed Israeli brutality as ‘self-defense,’ while demonizing pro-justice entertainers and the peaceful Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement.
Lethal force was used against yet another Palestinian – Mohammad Abu Jom’a. This is the 12th Palestinian killed by Israeli soldiers this month; one Israeli was also killed during that time.

Two Palestinian boys, aged 11 and 15, each lost sight in an eye after being shot by Israeli soldiers. The younger one has been denied entry into Israel to receive medical care because he is a ‘security risk.’ The older boy traveled to Jordan to try to save his eye.
In a 4-hour raid on a Palestinian village, Israeli soldiers shot teenager Odai Salah in the head with an expanding bullet, killing him, shot several others, stormed and ransacked homes, and threatened members of the Palestinian press.
Odai’s father stated, “The whole Palestinian people is like Odai. Killings have become daily, they happen in a monstrous way. We no longer have any dreams in this country.”
Two more Palestinian young men were killed near Jenin, a a city in the occupied West Bank where Israel has staged many violent invasions in recent weeks, bringing the total killed this month to ten. An Israeli soldier also died – the first Israeli killed since May 5th. At least 83 Palestinians have been killed during that time.

Mohammad Arayshy is the 4th Palestinian to die after a massive Israeli raid on the city of Nablus on August 9th. Israeli forces also fired on ambulances as they tried to reach the wounded.
Salah Sawafta was exiting the local mosque after dawn prayers when he was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers who had invaded the town.
Mohammad Shaham, 21, woke up to banging on his family home’s door in the middle of the night; Israeli soldiers shot him in the head at point blank range without explanation or even verifying his identity first.
