The 2018 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, with peace activists taking humanitarian aid to Gaza, was harassed today by the German Coast Guard. After two successful voyages, flotillas have been blocked in international waters by Israeli forces, once killing 10 of those on board.
The village of Hizma is under blockade due to alleged stone-throwing at cars with Israeli license plates. This has impacted services, especially to children, the elderly, and the disabled, and undermined the economy of the village. It may amount to collective punishment, which is illegal according to international law.
Thanks to war, poverty, and the blockade, the only things abundant in Gaza are food scarcity and childhood hunger.
