3-year-old Louay was not allowed to have his mother present for his chemo treatments in Nablus because she is a “first-degree relative of a Hamas member.” But following widespread reporting, Louay’s mother was informed that she will be allowed to join him.
With many thanks to the Goldin family – whose son’s remains are being held by Hamas – Israel is withholding humanitarian exit permits, especially to Gazans “related to Hamas members.” This leaves little Louay without a relative for his trips to Nablus for chemo.
This is truly shocking: media giant BBC is bossed around by Israel. The headline “Israeli air strikes kill pregnant woman and baby” magically become “Gaza air strikes ‘kill woman and child’ after rockets hit Israel” when Israel’s foreign ministry spokesman ordered it to be changed “IMMEDIATELY.” A BBC spokesperson admitted that “although the original headline was not factually incorrect, we updated it to add more context to the story”. They added something else too, and it ain’t truth.
One BBC senior producer confided, ‘We wait in fear for the phone call from the Israelis,’” whenever they publish negative stories about Israel.

Medical work in Gaza is impeded by the unmanageable number of wounded, the complex injuries that will require multiple follow-up procedures, and the shortage of supplies. Add to that the difficulty in getting permission for patients to seek medical attention outside the country – it adds up to an impossible situation.
