News outlets are reporting on Israel’s Monday attack on the Palestinian city of Jenin, but no one has been talking about the consistent shedding of Palestinian blood since the attack on Gaza in May.
Shadi Khoury, age 15, is part of a beloved and influential Christian family in Jerusalem. That did not stop Israeli police from arresting him on false charges and beating him bloody last October. Here is an update on his case.

A 26-year-old Palestinian woman was shot in the chest, and 3 Palestinian men were killed in a massive invasion by Israeli forces. In both cases, paramedics were blocked from assisting the injured. (Israelis have now killed 108 Palestinians in 2023, including 19 minors; in response, Palestinians have killed under 20 Israelis, including 4 minors.)
Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, who’s been arrested 14 times and spent over 8 years in Israeli prisons, died today after an 87-day hunger strike – his 5th – in protest of his illegal administrative detention by Israel. Israel refused to allow his family to visit him even as his condition deteriorated. He was one of ~600 Palestinians held without charge or trial. The NYT didn’t report on the strike until he died.
