Israel’s Ha’aretz newspaper reports that the Israeli government set up a company called “Concert” so that individuals and groups around the world could conceal the funding they received from Israel to promote projects aimed at improving Israel’s image. Americans not declaring this funding would likely be violating US law…. Will US media report this to Americans? Will the U.S. Department of Justice investigate them?
Israel has been illegally manipulating US policies – and some US organizations and politicians have been helping them, in violation of US laws… Will the government go after them and censure Israel, the way it did the claims of ‘Russian interference’? A 7-year-old Palestinian boy discovered a box full of stun grenades planted in his village by Israeli soldiers the night before, one of 3 such boxes set to explode when touched, camouflaged with stones and scraps of cloth…The boy narrowly escaped injury by that particular IDF action (his relative was not so lucky – neither was a 15-year-old who was shot in the head on Thursday, or a 9-year-old shot in the head last year).

Palestinian media have posted a video reportedly showing Israeli soldiers beating Palestinian workers on their way to work in Israel earlier this week. According to a 21-year-old victim, the video only shows a little of the beating, which went on for an hour. The coronavirus outbreak had worsened the already bad economic situation, forcing many young people to go to work inside Israel. The Israeli soldiers also stole the workers’ money…
145 groups pressure Facebook to adopt an Israel-centric definition of ‘hate speech.’ The initiative is largely funded by multi-millionaire Israeli-American Adam Milstein (who served in the Israeli military 1971-4) and is backed by the Israeli government… Whether Facebook will buckle under the pressure will depend in large part on whether the public—Jewish and non-Jewish—finally recognizes that concerns about antisemitism are being exploited to serve a narrow political and ideological agenda, putting at risk free speech on Israel/Palestine and, by extension, political speech writ large…
