If the Israelis were thinking clearly, everyone could benefit. All they must do is give us a window to live a normal life and all these extremist groups would disappear. Hamas would disappear. Our generation wants to make peace and it is foolish for Israel to refuse. The next generation may not be as willing as we are. Is that what Israel truly wants?
June 1 – June 7, 2017: Israeli soldiers killed a teenage Palestinian girl as well as a young father in Gaza. Israeli forces demolished five Palestinian coal production plants. Jewish settlers confiscated Palestinian land to create a new outpost.
May 25 – May 31, 2017: A thousand Palestinians being held in Israeli jails ended their hunger strike after 40 days without food. Palestinians in Gaza only have a few hours of electricity and running water a day and are forced to buy bottled water to meet their daily needs.
Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) featured our 2012 article: A New York Times’ headline reported that Palestinians in Gaza attacked Israel first. But the article itself explained that the rockets only came after Israelis attacked Gaza with an airstrike first, killing a Palestinian and injuring several others.
Just 42% of Gazans were allowed to travel to Israel for medical treatment last December. Cancer rates among Palestinian children have increased by 40% since 2008, but their parents are sometimes told by Israel to become informants if they want their children to cross the border for treatment. Appointment delays for Palestinian patients are the highest they’ve ever been recorded.
