The Israeli American Council is a ten-year-old organization of dual US-Israeli citizens. Ha’aretz reports that Israel has secretly hired US law firm Sidley Austin to help fight the boycott of Israel. Israel has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past two years and calls the activities “diplomatically extremely sensitive.”

The governor of Texas just signed a law that forbids state agencies from contracting with companies participating in boycotts of Israel. Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina already passed similar laws.
