Israel prevents Gazans from traveling for medical treatment, including children with cancer

Just 42% of Gazans were allowed to travel to Israel for medical treatment last December. Cancer rates among Palestinian children have increased by 40% since 2008, but their parents are sometimes told by Israel to become informants if they want their children to cross the border for treatment. Appointment delays for Palestinian patients are the highest they’ve ever been recorded.
