An Israeli drone strike killed Mohammed Mousa Al-Habil (38) and his 6-year-old son, Mousa, while they were refilling water tanks on the roof of their home in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. Israel’s Top Court Rejects Appeal to Release Gaza Hospital Head From Solitary Confinement: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital, has been held since 2024 under the Unlawful Combatants Law, which permits the arrest of foreign nationals alleged to belong to terrorist groups or to have taken part in hostile actions. Physicians for Human Rights called the ruling ‘a profound moral failure.’ (Read about Dr. Abu Safiya here.)

Hamas demands Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in response to Board of Peace* disarmament plan: Israel refuses to adhere to the first phase of the October ceasefire, killing Palestinians and denying entry of aid, even though Hamas has met its obligations.

*NOTE: The so-called Board of Peace is a pay-to-play group of wealthy and powerful Israel supporters, dictators, and authoritarians, as well as Israeli prime minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and two Israeli real estate tycoonsbut no Palestinians. In fact, the organization’s charter makes no reference to Gaza.

The lower-tier technocratic committee, made up of Palestinians, will do the grunt work in Gaza – if and when Israel allows the group to enter the Strip.

Palestinians in Gaza wait on details of US-Iran deal amid fears of being left out: For many in Gaza, attention has focused less on the diplomatic breakthrough in the Iran-US deal than on what was omitted from the initial announcement.

Smotrich cancels Hebron* Protocol, ending Palestinian control in occupied city: Amid intensifying military raids in the city, revoking the 1997 protocol gives the Israeli state full construction control over Hebron’s key sites, such as Ibrahimi Mosque. Signed in 1997 by Benjamin Netanyahu and Yasser Arafat as part of the Oslo Accords, the Hebron Protocol divided the city into two zones.

*NOTE: Around 35,000 Palestinians live in the West Bank city of Hebron, where the Ibrahimi Mosque is located, along with about 800 Jewish settlers, who are protected and supported by 1,500 Israeli soldiers. Israeli occupiers (i.e. settlers) destroyed the only water supply line serving the Palestinian village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Monday, cutting off access to water for residents amid ongoing settlement expansion work. The attack left the village without running water, sources said.

Israeli Settlers Turn Seized Palestinian Land to Tourist Attraction Using Stolen Water: Despite Civil Administration efforts, settlers took control of an archaeological site and diverted water from Palestinian farmland to fill an ancient pool, turning it into an informal weekend attraction that drew hundreds of visitors.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM ISRAEL:

Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel news accurately. IAK gets the facts – sometimes from Israeli media sites, where we can get a glimpse inside this country that is rife with turmoil and contradictions, and that receives $63 million a day from America.

Israel’s former defense minister compares settler ideology to Nazism, and accused authorities of failing to investigate Israelis responsible for killing Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank. Moshe Ya’alon said that factions within the religious Zionist movement, which is closely aligned with Israeli settlers, hold a “Jewish supremacy ideology”.

“What is Jewish supremacy? Eighty years after the Holocaust, it’s Mein Kampf in reverse. The superior race is us,” said Ya’alon, who served as defense under Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu between 2013 to 2016.

The Israeli gov’t will distribute $1.89 million in state funds to the “Hilltop Youth*” extremist settler movement. Approximately $550 per month will be allocated to each of the more than 650 individuals within the movement to cover their food, clothing, and general living costs, through the end of the year.

*NOTE: The Hilltop Youth group are radical extremist gangs, aged between 16 and 26, who left school to live in settlement outposts (illegal under Israeli law) erected on the hilltops near Palestinian villages. They carry out attacks against Palestinians and their properties, citing alleged Biblical texts on killing non-Jews, under the full sight of the Israeli army and police. The Hilltop Youth are backed by several Israeli political parties, including the Religious Zionism Party of Finance Minister Smotrich.

IRAN & LEBANON – NEWS & HEADLINES:

It can not be overemphasized that Israel is the impetus behind US policies and actions vis-a-vis Iran. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing the US to attack Iran for decades, using lies and deception. Under President Trump, he got his wish.

Israel has invaded Lebanon seven times in the last half century. Between 1978 and 2000, Israel maintained an 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon — Hezbollah was formed to fight that occupation.

Trump Celebrates Achieving Absolutely Nothing in Iran: To end his war on Iran, Trump was forced to return to the status quo with the Strait of Hormuz open and no nuclear deal in place.

Washington is not providing $300 million in financial payouts to Iran, US President Donald Trump claimed on Monday, labeling reports of American funding as “fake news” amid reports of a multi-billion dollar reconstruction package.

Benjamin Netanyahu has hailed a historic victory over Iran and ruled out any immediate withdrawal from Lebanon: “We established deep security zones around the state of Israel. We did this in Gaza, in Lebanon and in Syria. And I want to make it clear: we will remain in these security zones … to protect our country.”

Israeli politicians slam Netanyahu, call US-Iran deal ‘greatest strategic failure’ for Israel: Yair Golan, party leader said, “‘Netanyahu is the man who, for years, sold the public a false image of ‘Mr. Security,’ and in reality became the father of Israel’s greatest strategic failure in its history… This is the culmination of long years of failure.”

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also denounced the deal as “bad for Israel and for the entire free world… We will have to continue the campaign to topple the regime ourselves.”

A Lebanese man was killed in an Israeli drone strike, and a journalist was wounded Monday by shrapnel from an Israeli shell in southern Lebanon, in the first reported casualty since Iran and the United States announced an agreement to end military operations across multiple fronts, including Lebanon.

The UN on Monday reported continued Israeli military activity over southern Lebanon, including projectile launches and repeated airspace violations, while noting a decline in overall violence following the announcement of a US-Iran agreement.
