(It is difficult to characterize the current situation in Gaza a “ceasefire,” when Israel has killed over 200 Palestinians. If Americans Knew considers Saturday to be Day 757 of Israel’s war on Gaza)
Since the “ceasefire” began, Israel has killed 236 Palestinians, including 97 children, with approximately 600 others injured, and violated the truce agreement at least 125 times.
Additional statistics below.
NOTABLE QUOTE: “If 226 Israelis had been killed…”
A Ha’aretz reader comments on Gaza casualty figures since the “ceasefire”:
Three weeks into the Gaza ceasefire, 226 people are dead and 594 are wounded from Israeli fire. The truce still holds on paper but not in reality.
If 226 Israelis had been killed by Hamas after a ceasefire the UN Security Council would meet right away. Western governments would call it terrorism and Israel’s right to defend itself.
When Palestinians die it becomes a clash or a fragile situation.
This double standard empties international law of meaning. The same actions are judged differently depending on who commits them. The ceasefire has turned into a diplomatic fig leaf. It comforts Israel’s allies while the killing goes on.
Gaza is not at peace. It only pauses between attacks. As long as a life’s worth depends on where it is lost every ceasefire will stay just a word.

Israel still blocking most Gaza aid as military carries out more attacks
In a statement on Saturday, Gaza’s Government Media Office said that 3,203 commercial and aid trucks brought supplies into Gaza between October 10 and 31. This is an average of 145 aid trucks per day, or just 24 percent of the 600 trucks that are meant to be entering Gaza daily as part of the deal, it added.
While aid deliveries have increased since the truce came into force, Palestinians across Gaza continue to face shortages of food, water, medicine and other critical supplies as a result of Israeli restrictions.
According to Dr Mohammed Abu Salmiya, since the start of the ceasefire on 11 October, only 10 percent of needed medical supplies have reached the besieged enclave.
More than 350,000 patients with chronic health conditions are in urgent need of medication, and hospitals receive the bodies of patients succumbing to their illnesses as a result of lacking medicine on a daily basis, he warned.
NOTE: Israel is about 10,000 truckloads behind in its aid obligations.

Hamas says it is ready to recover bodies of all Israeli hostages inside ‘yellow line’
The Palestinian group Hamas said Saturday that it is ready to recover the remains of all Israeli hostages inside the “yellow line” in Gaza, calling on mediators and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to provide the needed machinery to accelerate the process and “close the file” on hostage exchanges.
The “yellow line” refers to the zone to which Israeli forces have withdrawn under the ceasefire agreement, a non-physical partition that runs through the Gaza Strip (see below).

Latest batch of Palestinian bodies returned by Israel ‘mutilated, unrecognizable’
The latest batch of 30 bodies of Palestinians returned by Israel were mostly “just bones” and “unrecognizable” following their deaths due to execution and torture, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced on 1 November.
“The bodies of the thirty martyrs that were received yesterday (Friday) are the most difficult among the batches that have been released,” Director General of the Health Ministry, Munir al-Barsh, confirmed.
“Most of the bodies are just bones, and some are unrecognizable, their features having been dissolved by torture and burial in the sand,” Barsh stated (continue reading here).

UN Confirms Record Colonizer Violence, 4,000 Trees Destroyed
Findings by OCHA, the UN body that coordinates international humanitarian responses to emergencies, detail the vandalism of more than 4,000 olive trees and saplings, a deliberate blow to a sector that sustains thousands of families.
The destruction of these trees—some of which are centuries old—represents not only economic sabotage but also a targeted assault on Palestinian heritage and land tenure.
In the final week of October alone, OCHA recorded 60 colonizer attacks on Palestinian civilians, resulting in 17 injuries and the destruction of 19 vehicles.

US CENTCOM posts video of suspected Hamas* terrorists looting Gaza aid convoy
United States Central Command posted a video of what it said was “suspected Hamas operatives looting an aid truck traveling as part of a humanitarian convoy delivering needed assistance” on Friday.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented, “Hamas continues to deprive the people of Gaza of the humanitarian aid they desperately need…Hamas is the impediment. They must lay down their arms and stop their looting so that Gaza can have a brighter future.”
*The Facts:
This Jerusalem Post article does not establish the identity of the looters, nor does US CentCom appear to make an effort to do so, instead evidently assuming they are Hamas. This assumption flies in the face of the facts. (Other Israeli news outlets report the incident similarly.)
UN agencies and investigations by The Washington Post, Israeli news site Ha’aretz and other outlets have documented widespread, months-long aid theft by criminal gangs under Israeli watch and with Israeli government support. Reports in Israeli media based on internal army documents detail at least 110 cases of aid looting — none of which were carried out by Hamas, but rather by “armed gangs and organized clans” – the most prominent of which is, as reported by the Jerusalem Post itself, affiliated with ISIS.
Perhaps most significantly, an analysis by the US government found no evidence of systematic theft by Hamas of U.S.-funded humanitarian supplies.
The Jerusalem Post and Sec’y Rubio either do not know these well-established facts, or are purposely disregarding them because they do not fit Israel’s official narrative. Also notable is the fact that, according to the UN, looting has largely become a thing of the past. “The sharp decline has coincided with Hamas reasserting internal security and cracking down on Israel-supported looting gangs.”

TOI report declines to mention that Gazan remains show signs of torture
This article from Times of Israel reports on Israel’s return of Palestinian bodies, as per the ceasefire agreement, without mentioning significant facts about the conditions of the bodies that reflect poorly on Israel: in this batch of remains, as in every previous batch, the bodies show signs of “summary executions following torture, restraint, and being run over by military vehicles.

US looks to build ‘new Gaza’ on half of Strip under IDF control, but faces pushback
One of the main proposals for rebuilding Gaza that US President Donald Trump’s administration has presented to potential donor countries in the Gulf envisions the construction of roughly half a dozen residential regions on the eastern half of the Strip currently under Israeli control, two Arab diplomats familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel.
“Palestinians may not want to live under the rule of Hamas, but the idea that they’ll be willing to move to live under Israeli occupation and be under control of the party they also see as responsible for killing 70,000 of their brethren is fantastical,” one of the Arab diplomats said.
Both diplomats said it was unclear whether Kushner and the other US officials in charge of the Gaza file are listening to the pushback that they’ve been receiving from some of their Gulf allies.
