ISRAELI MEDIA: The Board of Peace will launch a pilot program in the coming weeks to manage humanitarian shelters* in areas of the Gaza Strip that are not under Hamas control [that is, the close to 70% of Gaza under Israeli occupation], Israel Hayom has learned. Gaza civilians will be directed to humanitarian shelters, where they will receive medical aid and food, as the IDF works to gain control over more of the Strip.

Board of Peace officials told Israel Hayom that the intent is for the area “not to be a prison.” By contrast, officials familiar with the risks warn of similar phenomena that occurred at food distribution compounds in the Strip.

*NOTE: The world read firsthand accounts of Israel’s massacres of Gazans from the first day of GHF’s so-called aid distribution (May-November 2025): at least 2,615 Palestinians were killed – by IDF soldiers and GHF personnel – as they sought to secure a box of food or a bag of flour.

Globally recognized human rights organizations warned that the GHF model was deeply flawed and bound to create chaos, and called it a “dangerous, politicized sham.” Countless videos from reporters and aid-seekers, as well as whistleblower testimonies, bore witness to utter mayhem; meanwhile, GHF staged videos in which small, controlled groups of Gazans calmly collected parcels and left without incident.

FLASHBACK: Last year’s imposed “aid distribution” was a disaster:

ISRAELI MEDIA: IDF Expands Gaza Occupation, Displacing More Palestinians to Less Territory: When the cease-fire agreement was signed in October 2025, 53 percent of the Strip was under Israeli control. Last week, the UN estimated that the IDF now controls around 65 percent of the Strip. On Saturday, the prime minister said Israel now controls close to 70 percent of the Strip. Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen, who is also a member of the Israeli security cabinet, vowed on Wednesday that Israel will control 100% of Gaza.

DEATH TOLL – GAZA GENOCIDE (tentative):
  • At least 1,053 since ceasefire began Oct. 11, 2025 (247 children, 191 women)
  • 5 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire began – one by friendly fire, and four others incidents during the first three weeks of the ceasefire.
  • 73,066 killed (~22,000 children, 33,000 women and girls) since October 2023

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM THE OCCUPIED WEST BANK/EAST JERUSALEM:

Every day, Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem endure dozens of incidents like the ones below, at the hands of Israeli soldiers and/or settlers. For background on the West Bank, read this and thisFor information on the significance of Israeli settlers in the West Bank, read this and this.)

The Israeli army reportedly sealed off the town of Sinjil in the central occupied West Bank on Wednesday, closing all remaining roads linking it to nearby villages, and leaving it fully isolated. Closure was done with iron gates, earth mounds, and rock barriers. The town’s mayor said, “The occupation has not only closed the roads; it is trying to shut access to livelihoods, life, healthcare, and education… the complete strangulation of the town.”

How church land became Israel’s new battleground in Jerusalem: “These practices are part of a systematic policy targeting the religious and historical presence in occupied Jerusalem, including both Islamic and Christian endowments.”

Israeli occupiers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound*, perform Talmudic rituals

*NOTE: Anyone can visit the Al Aqsa Mosque grounds (known to Jews as the Temple Mount) but only Muslims are allowed to pray there, according to an understanding known as the ‘status quo agreement,’ under which, since 1967, Israel has formally pledged to allow Muslims to pray at the site, while Jews pray at the Western Wall below.

In practice, however, restrictions have steadily eroded, particularly since 2023 (after extremist Itamar Ben Gvir became Minister of National Security). Many Palestinians fear this erosion will lead to open conflict.

In attempt to establish a new settlement, Israeli occupiers (i.e. settlers) reportedly raised Israel’s flag near Palestinian homes inside an area classified as Area A* in the village of Beit Imrin, northwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank. A village leader said Israeli occupiers have carried out repeated attacks, including on homes and vehicles, and the theft of sheep.

Israeli colonists on Wednesday stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque* compound in occupied East Jerusalem under the protection of Israeli police. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of colonists entered the compound, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

*NOTE: Anyone can visit the Al Aqsa Mosque grounds (known to Jews as the Temple Mount), but only Muslims are allowed to pray there, according to an understanding known as the ‘status quo agreement,’ under which, since 1967, Israel has formally pledged to allow Muslims to pray at the site, while Jews pray at the Western Wall below.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM ISRAEL:

Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel news accurately. IAK gets the facts – sometimes from Israeli media sites, where we can get a glimpse inside this country that is rife with turmoil and contradictions, and that receives $63 million a day from America.

Israeli opposition leaders accuse Netanyahu of fabricating Iran nuclear claims: “Netanyahu said repugnant things. Iran had no nuclear bombs whatsoever. He is fabricating reality to frighten the Israeli public,” said Gadi Eisenkot, head of Yashar party.

ISRAELI MEDIA: With Israel’s Election Fast Approaching, Netanyahu Ramps Up His War on TruthCoalition members are busy trying to reconstruct history ahead of the elections. As far as they are concerned, it is the prime minister who went through ‘hell’ and not the hostages whose return his government delayed. (Background: IDF Hostage Chief Says Gaza Hostages Could Have ‘Returned Alive,’ but Netanyahu Gov’t Refused Truce Deals)

“I want to stop US aid. It is like welfare. I do not want it,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Israel’s Channel 14 on Tuesday evening. “Israel now has enough financial capacity to cover the amount entirely from its own resources,” he said, adding, “I want a 10-year phase that would gradually reduce Israel’s dependence on the US.”

Netanyahu said Israel’s economy is approaching $1 trillion and would be able to finance itself starting next year.

ISRAELI MEDIA: Israel’s Communications Ministry Rushes to Ease Channel 14 Regulatory Fees After Netanyahu Interview: Less than 24 hours after Netanyahu appeared on Channel 14’s flagship program, the Communications Ministry published new regulations designed to benefit the channel, citing an ‘urgent need.’

For $1, Israel grants US confiscated Palestinian land for Jerusalem embassy complex: Israel and the US signed an agreement on Wednesday under which Washington will receive a plot of land once owned by Palestinians in Jerusalem for $1 to build the permanent site of the US Embassy in the city.

In 2022, Adalah, a rights group in Israel, said the land allocated for the embassy compound had been confiscated from Palestinians under Israel’s 1950 Absentees’ Property Law.*

*NOTE: The Absentees’ Property Law essentially declared that if any Palestinian who owned property inside of what became Israel, was absent from the country (whether they fled, or were exiled or deported), that property became the possession of the State of Israel. Read more about this important law here.

Israeli opposition signal foreign policy change in style, but not substance: Israeli opposition criticize how Netanyahu has conducted Israel’s wars, but cannot risk opposing the wars in principle.

ISRAELI MEDIA: IDF Cadets Describe Religious Nationalist Ideological Tilt in Training: Cadets said educational seminars are consistently held at religious academies in the West Bank or in religious kibbutzim. In one instance, a former senior IDF commander said in a lecture that ‘there are no uninvolved civilians in Gaza.’

IRAN, LEBANON, & SYRIA – NEWS & HEADLINES:

It can not be overemphasized that Israel is the impetus behind US policies and actions vis-a-vis Iran. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing the US to attack Iran for decades, using lies and deception. Under President Trump, he got his wish.

Israel has invaded Lebanon seven times in the last half century. Between 1978 and 2000, Israel maintained an 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon — Hezbollah was formed to fight that occupation.

Although Israel is not at war with Syria, the Israeli army has reportedly carried out over 1,600 violations inside Syrian territory since August 2025, and demanded the demilitarization of southern Syria – but also vowed to permanently occupy some areas.

IRAN

The U.S. and Iran are “getting along very well,” President Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning, adding that Iran has “come a long way.” Trump also said “the denuclearization of Iran is moving along well.”

Qatar confirms no Iran–US talks in Doha following arrival of Trump envoys: Iranian officials said their visit to the Gulf monarchy is solely for technical talks on releasing billions in frozen assets.

Trump Briefed on All-Out War Options in Iran but Opts to Stick With Talks: The president has told aides that he is fine if negotiations with Tehran blow past an Aug. 18 deadline for a nuclear deal, officials say.

Defense Minister Israel Katz on Wednesday threatened to re-start the war with Iran, explaining that Israel had already struck Iran twice with “proactive preemptive attacks.” Katz said “we will strike a third time as well,” if necessary.

Iranian official: War cost us $200bn, increased citizens’ hardship

LEBANON

Israeli army demolishes homes, sets up checkpoints in occupied areas of southern Lebanon: Moves come hours after Netanyahu, Katz tour areas occupied by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

Psychological toll mounts as Lebanese villages erased by Israel’s war: “When a village is flattened, and even the landmarks around it are gone, people lose more than their homes. They lose the markers that told them where they belonged, and that’s part of why we’re seeing such deep distress,” Basma Alloush of the International Rescue Committee told Al Jazeera.

As in Gaza, the Israel-Lebanon ‘peace’ agreement is designed to fail: Israel’s conditioning of its withdrawal from southern Lebanon on the disarmament of Hezbollah mirrors its strategy in Gaza: insist on terms that are impossible to implement to justify its constant state of war.

SYRIA

Israeli settler group calls for seizing crops in occupied Syrian landThe Pioneers of Bashan, a settler group that advocates Israeli settlement in Syria, called for the exploitation of territory captured by Israel in the governorates of Daraa and Quneitra. “In the small Quneitra District alone, about 2,000 tons of wheat were harvested this year!” the group said on X, referring to crop yield. “When this fertile land is worked by pioneering Jews, instead of Hamas-supporting Sunnis, it will yield even more.”

DEATH TOLL – WARS ON IRAN & LEBANON (tentative):
  • United States: 13 (or more) since Feb. 28, 2026
  • Iran: at least 3,636 (1,701 civilians) since Feb. 28, 2026 (another source puts the number at 3,499)
  • Lebanon: at least 4,297 people since March 2, 2026
  • Arab states: at least 154 (including Palestine, excluding Lebanon)
  • Israel: at least 60 people (Iran killed 20 civilians; Hezbollah killed 36 soldiers, 4 civilians)
