Israeli strikes on Gaza killed at least 2 Palestinians and left others wounded on Thursday.
Gaza officials say famine has returned: Only 25% of the food needs of Gaza’s population are entering the Strip through crossings, Gaza’s Social Development Ministry said Wednesday. Deputy Minister Riyad al-Bitar attributed the crisis to severe aid restrictions, economic collapse, and Israeli control over commercial trucks; he said Israel allows just 120 to 150 aid and commercial trucks daily against the 600 agreed upon under the October ceasefire.
At least 21,000 children killed in Gaza after 1,000 days of war, Save the Children says: The aid agency says the world has failed 1 million children in Gaza.
1,000 days of genocide in Gaza: According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the following figures mark 1,000 days since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza:
Human toll
- 73,066 Palestinians killed and 173,514 wounded.
- 55% of those killed were children, women or elderly people.
- 262 journalists and 556 aid workers were killed.
- 58,800 children have been orphaned, with only one parent or none left; more than 2,700 families were erased from the civil registry.
Healthcare
- 1,700 medical workers killed, 38 hospitals damaged, destroyed, or put out of service, and 197 ambulances targeted.
- More than 2.1 million cases of infectious diseases have been recorded, and over 22,000 patients need treatment abroad but are unable to leave Gaza due to Israeli restrictions.
Destruction and displacement
- More than 90% of Gaza has been destroyed, with 223,000 tonnes of explosives dropped.
- 410,000 homes and buildings have been destroyed or rendered uninhabitable.
- Around 2 million people were forcibly displaced, with 350,000 families needing shelter.
Economic losses
- Direct losses across 15 sectors are estimated at $80 billion.
The Trump-led “Board of Peace” is preparing to create “Hamas-free humanitarian zones” in southern Gaza for Palestinian civilians as Israel continues its aggression – while “staying below the threshold of international criticism,” according to a report from Israel Hayom. The plan sounds very similar to what Israeli officials were calling for last year: concentration camps, dubbed “humanitarian cities,” for Gaza’s entire civilian population in a tiny part of southern Gaza, as the IDF destroyed the rest of the Strip, with the ultimate goal of pushing the Palestinian civilians out of Gaza altogether.
Trump’s Board of Peace* says UNRWA** has ‘no place’ in Gaza: US ambassador Jeff Bartos called on nations to stop funding UNRWA and instead direct their financial support to the board at the annual UN pledging conference. “You can choose to fund incitement, terrorism, and stagnation, or you can choose to fund the Board of Peace, giving Gazans a path to peace, prosperity and real, durable change,” Bartos said.
*NOTE: The so-called Board of Peace is a pay-to-play group of wealthy and powerful Israel supporters, dictators, and authoritarians, as well as Israeli prime minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and two Israeli real estate tycoons – but no Palestinians. In fact, the organization’s charter makes no reference to Gaza. BoP is problematic in multiple ways, not the least of which is its tendency to view the world through a real estate lens, rather than human rights, justice, or humanitarianism. It is hard to imagine such a group prioritizing peace and prosperity for Gaza.
The lower-tier technocratic committee, made up of Palestinians, will do the grunt work in Gaza – if and when Israel allows the group to enter the Strip.
**NOTE: UNRWA, the United Nations body with a mandate to help Palestinian refugees, has been serving nearly 6 million registered Palestine refugees refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, and elsewhere for decades as they wait for their internationally recognized right of return to be activated. After a years-long campaign to dismantle UNRWA, Israel outlawed the organization following an unsubstantiated accusation that 12 employees (out of a staff of 13,000) were part of the October 2023 attack. Israel’s brief dossier, allegedly proving their guilt, offered no compelling evidence. As of June 2026, Israel has still failed to provide evidence to back up its accusations against UNRWA.
To learn the real reason why UNRWA was banned from Gaza (and the West Bank), read this.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM ISRAEL:
Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel news accurately. IAK gets the facts – sometimes from Israeli media sites, where we can get a glimpse inside this country that is rife with turmoil and contradictions, and that receives $63 million a day from America.

IRAN, LEBANON, & SYRIA – NEWS & HEADLINES:
It can not be overemphasized that Israel is the impetus behind US policies and actions vis-a-vis Iran. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing the US to attack Iran for decades, using lies and deception. Under President Trump, he got his wish.
Israel has invaded Lebanon seven times in the last half century. Between 1978 and 2000, Israel maintained an 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon — Hezbollah was formed to fight that occupation.
Although Israel is not at war with Syria, the Israeli army has reportedly carried out over 1,600 violations inside Syrian territory since August 2025, and demanded the demilitarization of southern Syria – but also vowed to permanently occupy some areas.
