In dozens of cases, the Committee to Protect Journalists documented a recurring set of abuse – from beating to starvation, sexual violence, and medical neglect – of journalists because of their work – a deliberate strategy to silence journalists and destroy their ability to bear witness.
The continued silence from the international community enables this.

In 2008, we promised the Palestinians in Gaza we would return. We intend to keep that promise until Gaza is free.
A FAIR study finds that major US news outlets rarely mention the Right of Return, although it is a primary part of the Israel/Palestine issue. In the last ten years, only 0.01 percent of coverage of Palestinians or Palestine in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post informs its audience about the right of return or even mentions it at all. When they do mention it, they generally imply that it is not a legitimate, UN-conferred right; or they describe the exercise of that right as an act of aggression/national “suicide” for Israel.
July 3rd: Great March protest specifically by and for the women of Gaza, in honor of their steadfastness in the face of siege. 1000s participated, at least 134 were injured.
