President Biden is enlisting the support (and tax dollars) of every American in the fight against antisemitism – but this fight could take a very dark turn if we’re not careful.

Israel killed 6+ Palestinians Monday, & many more in previous weeks
News outlets are reporting on Israel’s Monday attack on the Palestinian city of Jenin, but no one has been talking about the consistent shedding of Palestinian blood since the attack on Gaza in May.
New 3rd political party “No Labels” seeks middle ground – except on Israel
Well-funded group wants politicians to compromise, but its CEO says “there is no middle ground” when it comes to Israel. Her husband, also connected with group, had been a supporter of former terrorist leader Menachem Begin. The Israel lobby is once again using its fundraising ability to keep the Democratic Party rightwing on Israel — and the media isn’t mentioning any of this
NYT downplays Palestinian civilian deaths, political motivation for Gaza attack
The Times all but ignored Palestinian civilians killed by Israel’s latest assault on Gaza and dismissed an essential factor in Israel’s calculus — pressure on Netanyahu from the fascistic members of his own coalition… PBS was almost as deferential. Bennett left the large number of Palestinian dead to the last line of his report, and didn’t say that almost all have been civilians… The Times and PBS too are sensitive to the Israel lobby in the U.S.
Israeli Missiles Kill Eight Palestinians, Including A Child, In Gaza

Labs of Oppression, Part One: Masafer Yatta
The Intercept recently featured an in-depth article describing Israel’s decades-long campaign of discrimination and violence against Palestinians – in a way that begins to capture the magnitude of the injustice. The many forms of mistreatment require a lengthy article. IAK has broken it into four manageable parts which we will release over the next several days.
In Part One, read about the case of the hamlets of Masafer Yatta, where Israeli policy is trying to force Palestinians to leave – either by discriminatory legislation or intimidation and violence.
Israeli forces kill Palestinian teen, another Palestinian dies of wounds
Haroun Abu Aram, 27, had been shot in the neck by an Israeli soldier trying to confiscate a family’s generator; Haroun had been a quadriplegic ever since. Mahmoud Al-Ayedi, 17, was shot in the head during an Israeli military invasion of his refugee camp…
Israeli guards called him “the Christian” to insult him, then beat him some more
Israeli police burst into his home, broke his nose and a tooth, then dragged him by force, bound and blindfolded, to their van. After 41 days of beatings in an Israeli prison, 16-year-old Shadi Khoury is finally released to house arrest
His family had to break their usual tradition of visiting his grandmother on Christmas in Bethlehem and attending Christmas mass because of Shadi’s house arrest…
His mother is concerned that his adolescence has been lost forever…
Israel’s latest killing spree – minor news to US media
American mainstream media have averted their gaze (again) from Palestinian suffering. Eleven Palestinian deaths in seven days is apparently not news.
Bloodstains & Destruction: Israeli soldiers’ beating of Shadi Khoury
Everyone was asleep. Israeli police pounded on the door, entered violently, beat a child who refused to undress in front of them. They took him, blindfolded and barefoot, to be interrogated for days or longer… For Palestinians, this is par for the course – even for prominent Christian families and students at the Quakers Friends School.
