(While a “ceasefire” is ostensibly in place, Israel has continued its assault on Gaza without interruption. If Americans Knew considers the war to be ongoing, and in its 803rd day.)
Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces on Monday in Gaza City, in a new violation of the “ceasefire agreement” in place since October 10.
Since the “ceasefire” began on October 11, Israel has killed at least 411 Palestinians. Among the dead are at least 136 children. At least 1,115 have been injured. Death toll figures are tentative.
Israel has so far violated the 11 October ceasefire deal in Gaza at least 875 times in 74 days. More statistics below.

Israel fails (as usual) to deliver on its promises for aid, fuel
The government media office accused Israel of failing to meet its humanitarian obligations under the deal, allowing access to only 17,819 aid trucks out of the 42,800 shipments agreed under the ceasefire deal — “an average of just 244 trucks per day out of the 600 agreed daily, meaning a compliance rate not exceeding 41 percent.”
It said only 394 fuel trucks out of 3,650 were allowed into Gaza, an average of five trucks per day out of the 50 designated under the agreement.
“This means the occupation has complied with only 10% of the agreed fuel quantities, leaving hospitals, bakeries, and water and sewage stations almost completely out of service, and worsening the daily suffering of civilians,” the office said (continue reading here).

MSF’s vital humanitarian activities in Gaza at risk from Israeli registration rules
Israel’s new registration rules for international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) risk leaving hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza without lifesaving healthcare in 2026, warns Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The new requirements threaten to withdraw registration from INGOs beginning Jan. 1.
With Gaza’s health system already destroyed, independent and experienced humanitarian organizations losing access to respond would be a disaster for Palestinians. MSF calls on Israeli authorities to ensure INGOs can maintain and continue their impartial and independent response in Gaza. The already restricted humanitarian response cannot be further dismantled (continue reading here).

OCCUPIED WEST BANK/EAST JERUSALEM NEWS & HEADLINES:
(Every day, Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem endure dozens of incidents like the ones below, at the hands of Israeli soldiers and/or settlers. Israel claims it is ‘reviewing*’ killing of Palestinian teen in West Bank
Palestinian officials said that Rayyan Mohammad Abu Mualla was shot and killed on Saturday in the northern West Bank town of Qabatiya, during a raid by the Israeli military, an incident that is under review by the Israeli military.
The military initially claimed that the boy had thrown a brick at Israeli troops, resulting in them opening fire, but CCTV footage later appeared to disprove its claim, showing Abu Mualla neither holding or throwing an object.
Asked about the video, an Israeli military spokesperson said: “A Palestinian suspected of hurling a block at IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) soldiers was shot. The incident is under review” (continue reading here).
NOTE: Israel’s self-investigations – on the rare occasions when they do take place – consistently whitewash its crimes and fail to appropriately punish the perpetrators and tend to focus on individuals and individual incidents, ignoring the dangerous, far-reaching policies and assumptions rampant in Israeli thinking: impunity, lethality, and dehumanization.
Human rights groups have documented Israel’s lack of integrity when reporting on its own behavior toward Palestinians. Israeli sources, including the government itself, have a long track record of lying.

(Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel accurately. IAK passes along only factual reporting.)

Kahane* May Be Dead, but His Followers Are Taking Over Israeli Education and Health
On Monday, the Israeli government filled two key positions with people who represent the dregs of the Knesset and the dregs of public ethics. MK Tzvi Succot (Religious Zionism) was appointed chairman of the Knesset Education Committee, while MK Limor Son Har-Melech (Otzma Yehudit) was appointed chairwoman of the Knesset Health Committee. Both appointments put leading practitioners of messianic Kahanism* into the heart of the establishment [Israel’s minister of national security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, is also a Kahanist].
Earlier this month, Succot proposed shooting Palestinians who burn trash, and during a Knesset debate, he added that “the air force should seek to kill them.” In the past, he has said that “Everyone has gotten used to the fact that it’s possible to kill 100 Gazans in a single night, and it doesn’t interest anyone.” And this is the man who just became one of the people in charge of educating Israel’s children (continue reading here).

OTHER NEWS & HEADLINES:
Dozens of congressional Democrats wrote to the White House on Monday to highlight “the long-standing relationship between the US and Israel,” and urge President Donald Trump “to exert maximum diplomatic pressure” to end the Israeli government’s violations of a ceasefire deal with Hamas that took effect in the Gaza Strip on October 10.
In the letter, Democratic Reps. Mark Pocan (Wis.) and Madeleine Dean (Pa.), along with 45 of their House colleagues, pointed to Israel’s “continued bombardment against civilians, destruction of property, and insufficient delivery of humanitarian aid” (continue reading here).

Sen Graham: Trump Should Unleash Israel If Hamas Does Not Disarm
Senator Lindsey Graham said President Donald Trump should give Israeli Prime Minister the green light to restart wars in Gaza and Lebanon if Hamas and Hezbollah do not disarm. While Tel Aviv has agreed to ceasefires with both groups, Israel has continued to attack and occupy southern Lebanon and the Strip.
“It’s imperative we come up with a plan quickly, put Hamas on a time clock, give them a period of time to achieve the goal of disarmament,” Graham said on a trip to Israel. “And if you don’t, I would encourage President Trump to unleash Israel to go finish off Hamas” (continue reading here).
