A former Antisemitism Envoy adopted a new, Israel-centric definition for antisemitism, and then used it to train U.S. diplomats. The envoy position has proved a revolving door to Israel lobbying organizations (see video). Now groups from the ADL to the Southern Poverty Law Center are disturbed that Trump isn’t filling the position.
A former Mossad senior official says Jewish Americans are central to US support for Israel and that alienating this population (as Netanyahu is doing) poses an “existential” threat to Israel. The Israel lobby would “lose its clout,” and it would diminish support from other countries “that cultivate ties with Israel because of its presumed influence in Washington”…
The progressive organization Moveon is featuring Ben & Jerry’s in its latest action alert, even though the ice cream company is being boycotted by three different social justice campaigns for its unethical practices in the Palestinian territories and its treatment of workers & the environment in Vermont.
Israel advocates have created a website and app to defend Israel online and attack critics. App users have already brought the rating of an Australian business critical of Israel down from 4.6 to 1.4. The app leverages the efforts of pro-Israel students who “speak 35 languages, hail from 86 countries and have connections to the pro-Israel community all over the world…”

While many of Schneerson’s other teachings are laudable, his supremacist, racist teachings exemplified here support violence and terrorism against Palestinians. We feel that a national day in which Americans honor the perpetrator of such dangerous teachings is deeply wrong. Please help us expose this and end it.

When in this country people are criticizing Israel, then they are anti-Semitic. With a single exception, all the countries were targeted for attack in 2001, with similar plans in 1996, 1991, 1982, and the 1950s. The fact is that Trump’s action continues policies influenced by people working on behalf of a foreign country, whose goal has been to destabilize and reshape an entire region. The result has been devastating wars, massive refugee movement that is uprooting entire peoples and transforming parts of Europe, desperate terrorism, and now the horror that is ISIS. If this decades-long effort is not halted, it will increasingly devastate the region, our country, and the world…
Like most successful politicians, Lederman worked to develop friendly relationships with voters. JTA reports that these are useful in promoting Israel: “Such first-name-basis relationships in a state with only 800,000 people help Lederman advance a pro-Israel agenda, one that he prominently displays on his website’s home page, where he touts his leadership on the Iran sanctions legislation as well as a pro-Israel resolution in the wake of Israel’s 2008-2009 Gaza military campaign…”
