CHILD KILLED BY AIRDROPPED AID: A child has been crushed to death by an airdropped aid package in Khan Younis, Gaza—underscoring what the UN and MSF have long warned: the method is not only dangerous but wildly inefficient, delivering the equivalent of a single truckload per flight when 600 are needed daily. 22,000 trucks loaded with aid reportedly remain at the crossings, waiting to enter Gaza.

US-made bombs used in deadly Israeli strikes on Gaza schools, HRW says
In a report released Thursday, Human Rights Watch said Israel had carried out hundreds of strikes on schools since the start of its war on Gaza in October 2023, including “unlawfully indiscriminate attacks” using US munitions, which violated international law.
Israel has attacked over 500 school buildings, many used as shelters, killing hundreds of civilians. The damage to the schools will contribute to the disruption of access to education for many years, as repair and reconstruction of schools can require significant resources and time (read the full report here).

MSF calls GHF aid hubs “orchestrated killing”
MSF, or Doctors Without Borders, has released a new report, ‘This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing,’ which draws on medical data, patient testimonies and first-hand medical witnessing to demonstrate that what has been branded as “aid distribution” is in fact a system of institutionalized starvation and dehumanization. Israeli soldiers and American contractors have killed more than 1,300 Palestinians trying to reach food.
MSF calls for an immediate cessation of the GHF distribution mechanism and urges states and private donors to refrain from funding what is essentially a death trap (read the full report here).
Meanwhile, Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has announced that GHF will be expanding operations, from the four hubs it is currently operating to 16.

Netanyahu: Hamas is destroying every building
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu now says the shocking images of Gaza’s completely flattened landscape aren’t the result of months of Israeli airstrikes, artillery, and systematic bulldozer operations—but because “Hamas booby traps every single building.”
In his words: “The reason you see the flattened buildings is because Hamas booby traps every single building… After we move in…we put in an APC with a lot of explosives. Detonate it. It sets off all the booby traps and the buildings begin to collapse.”
This is the leader of a military campaign that has systematically and deliberately razed entire cities and towns in Gaza block by block.

Netanyahu: Israel to take military control of all of Gaza, but ‘we don’t want to keep it’
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday, ahead of a key cabinet meeting on the next stage of the Gaza war, that Israel intends to take control of the entire Strip, then hand it over to an unspecified Arab governing force. But, he stressed, “We don’t want to keep it. We want to have a security perimeter, but we don’t want to govern it. We don’t want to be there as a governing body” (continue reading here).
Netanyahu also said Thursday that Israel “will not annex Gaza, but he plans to establish a “security perimeter” around Gaza to prevent another October 7 attack from happening. He also added that “innocents must be separated from Hamas,” in regards to the humanitarian aid situation in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF has rejected this plan as strenuous and dangerous for soldiers and extremely risky for the hostages who remain alive in Hamas captivity.
Hamas declared that Netanyahu’s plan to militarily occupy Gaza is the opposite of what Israel has indicated in ceasefire negotiations, and “clearly reveal the true motives behind his withdrawal from the final round [of talks], despite our close proximity to a final agreement.”
“Netanyahu’s plan is to continue his policy of genocide and displacement by committing more crimes against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas said.
Analysts warn of a bloodier phase ahead: The plan, detailed by Israel’s Channel 12, outlines a phased military approach focused on five pillars: encirclement of central Gaza Strip and Gaza City, intensive firepower deployment, selective ground operations, minimizing attrition within the Israeli military, and steering clear of booby-trapped zones that could endanger the lives of Israeli detainees.
If implemented, the plan will have major implications for Gaza’s population, Israeli captives held by Hamas, and the increasingly fragile negotiations mediated by regional and international actors.
Israeli security cabinet chose starvation policy in Gaza over deal to free captives: Report
Hebrew media cited leaked documents showing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu actively pursued a policy of starvation in a bid to bring about Hamas’s surrender.
The documents also show that Netanyahu refused to move forward with Phase 2 of the last ceasefire deal – despite internal warnings urging him to secure a release of captives before returning to fighting – but that Netanyahu and the war cabinet instead “instructed the [army] to stop all humanitarian aid and close the Rafah crossing” in early March.
The Israeli Hostages and Missing Families Forum commented: “The report definitively proves what we’ve been saying for a year and a half – a comprehensive deal to bring all captives home was possible.”

Top Jewish Leaders Say Netanyahu’s Govt Causing ‘Lasting Damage’ to World Jewry
More than 4,000 Jews from 18 countries worldwide – among them prominent philanthropists and rabbis, as well as former Israeli government ministers – signed a letter, sent on Thursday to PM Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that his government’s policies and rhetoric are causing “lasting damage” to Israel and world Jewry. The letter states, in part:
[W]e acknowledge the painful dilemmas any Israeli government would face in addressing these threats [from Hamas and other groups].
Yet we also cannot escape the fact that the policies and rhetoric of the government you lead are doing lasting damage to Israel, its standing in the world and the prospects of secure peace for all Israelis and Palestinians.
This has severe consequences for Israel but also for the wellbeing, security and unity of Jewish communities around the world.

AIPAC slams Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene over Gaza genocide remark
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has accused Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of betraying “American values” by saying that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
“You expect anti-Israel smears from Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar,” the group said, referring to Muslim-American Democratic Congress members, “but now, Marjorie Taylor Greene has joined their ranks – spouting the same vile rhetoric and voting against the US-Israel alliance.”
Later on Thursday, Greene hit back at AIPAC: “While AIPAC is lying to their donors about me claiming I’m ‘betraying my American values’ the REALITY is AIPAC 1,000,000% serves and lobbies for a foreign country, Israel!!” Greene wrote in a social media post.

STATISTICS OCTOBER 7, 2023 – AUGUST 7, 2025*:
- At least 62,288 Palestinians killed, 161,275 injured – including:
- at least 61,258 killed in Gaza (~18,500 children)
- at least 1,030 killed in the West Bank (~210 children)
- at least 152,045 injured in Gaza
- at least 9,230 injured in the West Bank
- at least 193 have died from malnutrition in Gaza, including 96 children
According to Palestinian authorities, during the ceasefire Jan. 19 – March 18 2025, Israeli attacks killed at least 170 Gazans, and Israel committed at least 962 ceasefire violations.
At least 1,706 Palestinians have been killed while trying to access aid parcels from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which started operating on May 26, 2025.
Since the Israeli army resumed its assaults on Gaza on March 18, 2025 it has killed at least 9,752 people. 50 Israeli soldiers (most recent July 26) have been killed during the same time period.
*NOTE: Thousands of those killed in Gaza have yet to be identified, and an estimated 14,000 more are still buried under rubble. Additionally, the numbers of injured and starved are very conservative estimates.
Reported Israeli death toll from October 7, 2023 – August 7, 2025: ~1,629 – including ~1,139 on October 7, 2023 (~36 children), 454 military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza, 46 military and civilians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel. (72 soldiers have reportedly died due to “operational incidents.”)
By one count, Israeli attacks have killed approximately 229 Palestinian journalists and media workers; Palestinians have killed 4 Israeli journalists (other groups have tallied between 186 and 298 Palestinian journalists killed – depending on the criteria used).
