RED CRESCENT SAYS ATTACK ON THEIR FACILITY IS A WAR CRIME: Israeli forces attacked the Palestinian Red Crescent Society headquarters on Sunday, causing a fire that killed a staff member. The location was reportedly well known to Israeli forces and clearly marked. The group said in a statement, “This deliberate attack on a protected Red Crescent facility is a grave violation of international humanitarian law – it is a war crime,.”
22K HUMANITARIAN AID TRUCKS WAIT OUTSIDE GAZA: The Government Media Office in Gaza says Israel is deliberately blocking more than 22,000 humanitarian aid trucks, most of which belong to the UN and international organizations and various entities, from entering the territory, calling it part of a systematic campaign of “starvation, siege, and chaos.” More than 6,000 Palestinian children are reportedly being treated for malnutrition resulting from the blockade.
No Special Treatment: Abu Obeida Says Aid for Captives Tied to Gaza Ceasefire
Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades—the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas—announced on Sunday that the group is willing to allow the Red Cross to deliver aid to Israeli captives held in Gaza.
However, he said this would be contingent on Israel permanently opening humanitarian corridors and halting airstrikes during the delivery period.
Abu Obeida emphasized that no special treatment would be granted to Israeli captives while Palestinians themselves endure famine and siege, adding that “prisoners are not deliberately starved—they eat what our fighters and our people eat.”
Recent videos released by both the Qassam Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades—Islamic Jihad’s military wing—showed two Israeli captives, Eviatar David and Rom Braslavsky, in visibly deteriorating health due to hunger.

Israel’s Ben Gvir, under heavy guard, leads settler raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque
Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir led as many as 4,000 settlers and Likud officials into Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, openly conducting Jewish prayers in violation of the 1967 status quo agreement. He also called for Gaza’s occupation and Palestinian “voluntary migration.” The minister’s actions threaten further regional escalation.
Residents in Jerusalem’s Old City said that before and after Ben Gvir’s raid, the area had come to resemble a “military base” due to the “many checkpoints” that had been set up and the “heavy Israeli security presence”.
Speaking to reporters after the raid, Ben Gvir said: “The Temple Mount is for the Jews, and we will remain here forever.”
Since becoming a minister in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, Ben Gvir has led at least 11 assaults on the mosque. Meanwhile, several other far-right politicians have advocated for the destruction of Al-Aqsa and the construction of a temple where they claim Jewish temples once stood.
House speaker Mike Johnson prays at Western Wall for US to ‘always stand with Israel*’
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) offered a prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Sunday that America should always stand with Israel.
The House speaker’s delegation included Reps. Michael Cloud (R-TX), Michael McCaul (R-TX), Nathaniel Moran (R-TX) and Claudia Tenney (R-NY). Heather Johnston, founder and executive director of the U.S. Israel Education Association, also participated.
The delegation met with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Defense Minister Israel Katz, who thanked them and U.S. President Donald Trump for their strong moral support for Israel. Sa’ar said that it was an honor to meet the delegation and that Johnson is “a true friend of Israel.”
*NOTE: The U.S. provides Israel more than $63 million in military aid (American tax dollars) per day. In 2024, the first full year of war, Israel received $23 billion in US military aid – in order to carry out a genocide (sources: The Hill, International Jewish News, C-SPAN, AIPAC).
ISRAEL’S FORMER TOP OFFICIALS CALL FOR END TO WAR ON GAZA: Israeli Army Radio has published an unprecedented video featuring 11 former top military and security officials who called for an immediate halt to the war on Gaza, saying Israel is losing more than it is achieving. The former leaders included chiefs of staff and senior officials in the Israeli security apparatus, along with former heads of Mossad, Shin Bet and military intelligence (more here).
ISRAELI ENERGY MINISTER: NO GENOCIDE IN GAZA: Eli Cohen has taken to X to claim that anyone in Israel who says the country is committing genocide in Gaza is “blatantly lying, distorting reality, and spitting in the faces of our heroic soldiers who are doing sacred work”. “We must not surrender to Hamas”, Israel’s Energy Minister Cohen continued, saying this is the only way Israelis can live without fear.

WASH. POST: TRUMP WAS WAY OFF ON US AID CONTRIBUTION TO GAZA: Despite President Donald Trump’s repeated assertion in recent days that the United States has contributed $60 million for food to Gaza, U.S. pledges have been half of that amount, only a fraction of which has been actually disbursed. PolitiFact first reported that only $30 million in U.S. aid, rather than $60 million, had been approved. At that time, none had been disbursed; about 10 percent, or $3 million, had been sent to GHF by Friday.
