Col. Douglas McGregor and Lt. Col. Daniel Davis discuss the purge of Pentagon officers opposed to war with Iran. Davis asks who had the heft to convince Secretary of Defense Hegseth to get rid of one of his most senior and trusted aides – who was “behind the curtain running the show.” Macgregor suggests people look at Howard Lutnick, and possibly Jared Kushner. (Both are fervent Israel partisans.)
Col. Douglas Macgregor is a decorated combat veteran, author of five books, a PhD, and a defense and foreign policy consultant. In 2020 he was appointed Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense by President Trump. In 28 years of service Macgregor taught at West Point; commanded the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry; served as the Director of the Joint Operations Center at SHAPE in 1999; and was awarded the Defense Superior Service medal.
