“There is nothing for us” in northern Gaza

One resident of northern Gaza, Mohammad Ashraf, said, “there’s no shelter, no tent, nothing, no water, no food.

“There’s no place for us. This is the second time we’ve been displaced, paying 800 shekels ($240) for a vehicle and finding nothing,” he said. “We don’t know if God will make things easier for us. God willing, they’ll hit us with nuclear weapons and we’ll find relief.”

Israel drops incendiary and explosive bombs on Gaza City homes and tents

According to a Gaza City resident, quadcopter bombings have been increasingly used in neighborhoods where residents refuse to obey Israeli expulsion orders. “They drop dozens of explosive boxes onto residential buildings and then remotely detonate them,” he said.

The drones are being deployed to fire live rounds, ignite fires with incendiary bombs, and scatter shrapnel-filled explosives over densely populated areas. Operated remotely, these drones allow Israeli forces to strike targets continuously, without risking soldiers on the ground.

“The army gave evacuation orders for our area a few days ago, but we have nowhere to go,” the resident said, adding, “We can’t afford to relocate or buy a makeshift tent, so we stayed. Many of our neighbors made the same choice, knowing that leaving means never returning. To force us out, the army has flattened buildings, bombed rooftops, and fired on people in the streets and even inside their homes.”

Anti-Islamic US biker gang members run security at deadly Gaza aid sites

The firm guarding sites where aid is distributed in Gaza has been using members of a US biker gang with a history of hostility to Islam to run its armed security, a BBC investigation has found.

BBC News has confirmed the identities of 10 members of the Infidels Motorcycle Club working in Gaza for UG Solutions – a private contractor providing security at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites, of which at least seven members are in senior positions overseeing sites at the controversial aid operation backed by Israel and US President Donald Trump.

UG Solutions (UGS) defended its employees’ qualifications for the job, saying it does not screen people out for “personal hobbies or affiliations unrelated to job performance”.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said it has “a zero-tolerance policy for any hateful, discriminatory biases or conduct”.

Latin church in Gaza refuses to leave despite Israeli evacuation orders

The parish priest of the Holy Family Latin Church in Gaza, Father Gabriel Romanelli, has confirmed that the church is sheltering 450 displaced people, including the elderly, sick, and children. He stressed they will not leave the church despite the “evacuation orders” issued by the Israeli occupation forces to the city’s residents.

Father Romanelli said that Pope Leo XIV spoke with him by phone after the Israeli evacuation orders were announced. “We told him we are well, even if the situation remains difficult,” the Argentine priest said. “The Pope gave us his blessing and prayed for us and for peace. He follows everything closely and is committed to ending the war,” Romanelli explained.

Following Doha attack, Israeli PM, war chief threaten more violence

Unfazed by international outrage over the attack in the Qatari capital, Netanyahu said on Wednesday that countries should “applaud” Israel for its bombing and killing spree across the Middle East. “I say to Qatar and all nations who harbor terrorists, you either expel them or you bring them to justice — because if you don’t, we will,” he said.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “Israel’s security policy is clear – Israel’s long arm will act against its enemies wherever they may be,” Katz said, adding, “there is no place where they can hide.”

“Anyone who engages in terrorism against Israel will be targeted. If the murderers and rapists* of Hamas do not accept Israel’s conditions to end the war – primarily the release of all hostages and the disarmament of Hamas – they will be destroyed and Gaza will be devastated,” Katz added, echoing similar threats he has made recently.

*“Murderers”? In reality, a large number of the Israeli soldiers and civilians killed on October 7 were shown to have been killed by Israeli fire – a fact that is absent from the official Israeli narrative. Numerous atrocity stories about the October 7th attack have been proven untrue (more examples here). Netanyahu has disseminated a number of massively damaging lies to justify the genocide. Previously, Israel has been caught in many lies – for example, this and this and this.

“Rapists”? Israel’s claims of rapes and sexual assaults by Palestinians on 7 October lack even a single identified victim or firsthand testimony, any forensic evidence or credible eyewitnesses.

‘Months of preparation’ for attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar

Israel on Tuesday afternoon launched an unprecedented strike against the leadership of Hamas in Doha, the capital of Qatar, using heavy bombs dropped by fighter jets more than 1,100 miles (1,800 kilometers) from Israel to ensure the killing of senior figures who were reportedly meeting to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest hostage deal proposal.

Drones also took part in the operation, which was named Summit of Fire. A total of 10 munitions were dropped.

The decision to target Hamas leaders in Qatar had been made long ago and, according to two Israeli officials who spoke with CNN, planning for the “historic operation” took place over two to three months and accelerated in recent weeks (continue reading here).

CNN: Qatari prime minister calls Israel’s Doha attack “barbaric,” vows retaliation

Qatar’s prime minister excoriated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an exclusive interview with CNN on Wednesday, calling Israel’s attempted assassination of Hamas leaders in Doha “barbaric.”

“We were thinking that we are dealing with civilized people,” Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani told CNN’s Becky Anderson. “That’s the way we are dealing with others. And the action that (Netanyahu) took – I cannot describe it, but it’s a barbaric action.”

Al-Thani added that he believes Israel’s strike on Doha on Tuesday “killed any hope” for the hostages remaining in Gaza.

“There is a response that will happen from the region. This response is currently under consultation and discussion with other partners in the region,” Al Thani said, adding, “we are hoping for something meaningful that deters Israel from continuing this bullying.” Qatar says it will respond within the confines of international law, and it will be in consultation with its allies both in the region and beyond.

NOTE: The Gulf nation of Qatar has long served as a mediator, a location where conversations can happen between adversaries. The city, Doha, has become a base for negotiations to end Israel’s war on Gaza and secure the release of Israeli captives. Qatari officials have repeatedly said that the decision to host the Hamas leadership came after a request from the United States, and that the presence of Hamas members there is not an endorsement.

Israel kills 35 in Yemen attack a day after bombing Qatar’s Doha

At least 35 people have been killed and over 130 injured after Israel carried out air strikes in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and al-Jawf governorate, a day after targeting Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha. The numbers are expected to rise as rescue teams continue to search for victims.

The ministry said the raids struck civilian and residential areas, including homes, a medical facility, and a government compound.

NOTE: The Houthis are acting in solidarity with the Palestinians, alongside Hezbollah and other members of the Iran-led “axis of resistance”. They have consistently linked their attacks to Israel’s war in Gaza, saying they will stand down when that war ends (more here).

Investigation concludes Israeli munitions likely to blame for attacks on Sumud Flotilla

The open-source intelligence group Bellingcat says, after an initial investigation, “The largest aid flotilla in history has been attacked twice in two days whilst in port in Tunisia. Open source analysis suggests an incendiary munition is to blame.”

Tunisian officials said an explosion on a vessel on September 8 in Tunis was the result of a lighter or a cigarette butt, but videos show a flaming object descending from above.

“The flaming object must have been deployed from an aerial platform,” the group said, adding that videos of the incident include background sounds “consistent with that of a drone”.

The report says that munitions allegedly used in both attacks, one in Tunis on September 8 and another 24 hours later, show features that are “common, but not exclusive, to some models of Israeli hand grenades” (continue reading here).

Meeting with Keir Starmer was ‘tough’, says Israeli president

The British prime minister, Keir Starmer, and the Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, had a “tough” set of exchanges over humanitarian aid in Gaza at a Downing Street meeting, amid street protests demanding Herzog’s arrest as a war criminal.

Herzog denied there was any famine and blamed the high civilian death toll on Hamas placing missiles in living rooms.

He offered no apology for the attack on Hamas’s leadership in Doha on Tuesday, accusing Qatar of being allies of Hamas rather than mediators (continue reading here).
