NEW STRAIN OF INFLUENZA REPORTED AMID MEDICINE SHORTAGES: A new strain of influenza is rapidly spreading through Gaza, according to the enclave’s Government Media Office. Healthcare centers that remain functioning are unable to meaningfully respond to the threat “amid catastrophic health conditions caused by the ongoing siege and genocide.” The virus is spreading fast due to severe overcrowding and lack of clean water and ventilation.
ELECTRICITY CUT AT GAZA’S AL AQSA HOSPITAL PUTS PATIENTS’ LIVES AT RISK: Footage obtained by Al Jazeera shows that the al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza has plunged into darkness due to its generators running out of fuel. The lack of power puts the lives of thousands of injured patients at risk, especially those in the operating room, intensive care, and the nursery.

Israel destroying Islamic antiquities beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque: PA
The Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem Governorate reports that leaked videos have revealed unauthorized excavation and demolition operations being carried out by Israeli authorities under the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, calling the effort a “crime and a blatant violation of international laws and agreements protecting artifacts”.
“These operations deliberately target Islamic antiquities dating back to the Umayyad period [661-750 AD], which stand as living witnesses and irrefutable evidence of Muslims’ rightful claim to the site,” it said in a statement.
It said Israel is destroying the Islamic archaeological landmarks with the aim of removing the historical identity of Al-Aqsa Mosque in favor of the future construction of a Jewish temple at the site, adding that the excavations are conducted away from any international oversight.

Report: Internal IDF Document Concludes Months-long Gaza Offensive Failed
An internal Israel Defense Forces document concludes that the military’s recent months-long offensive in Gaza has failed, Channel 12 News reported on Sunday.
The document states that Israel made “every possible mistake,” waging a war “contrary to its own doctrine of warfare.” It adds that Hamas had “every condition to survive and win,” and that several of the war’s key objectives were not met: Hamas has not been defeated, and the hostages have not been returned, either through military action or a negotiated deal.
The document also asserts that Israel inadvertently provided resources to Hamas, depleted its own forces and lost international support.

The document also claims Israel provided resources to Hamas, exhausted its own forces, and lost international credit (continue reading here).

ISRAELI ARMY CHIEF THREATENS TO ASSASSINATE* HAMAS LEADERS ABROAD: Israel’s Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened Sunday to assassinate Hamas leaders abroad, as Tel Aviv continued its destructive war on the Gaza Strip. “Our actions are not yet complete; most of the remaining Hamas leadership is abroad, and we will reach them as well,” Zamir said in comments cited by a military statement.
*NOTE: Assassination, or targeted killing, is a violation of international law. According to the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Part 3, Article 6, “Every human being has the inherent right to life. This right shall be protected by law.
