At least 108 Palestinian citizens were killed and 393 injured in 24 hours, in a series of raids and artillery shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on various areas in the Gaza Strip, concentrated in Rafah, Gaza, Khan Younis and Jabaliya, according to medical sources.
Among the dead were at least 13 people by Israeli forces on Sunday, as they made their way to an aid distribution site in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military said that it had directed warning shots at a group that was moving towards soldiers.
The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli gunfire while trying to access humanitarian aid under a controversial new system since May 27 has risen to 125, with more than 736 wounded and nine missing, according to a tally based on Palestinian sources.

Israel kills more aid-seeking civilians after GHF misleads Palestinians into military zones
Gaza-based journalist Islam Bader noted on Sunday that GHF had announced that distribution would begin at 5:00 AM at the Netzarim site. However, the Israeli army has classified the area as a closed military zone from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and entering it during those hours is strictly prohibited and extremely dangerous.
Despite warnings, civilians arrived early. The distribution ended by 6:30 AM due to a severe shortage of aid parcels. When frustrated aid seekers got unruly, Israeli troops then opened fire, killing one person and injuring 15.
At the Tal al-Sultan GHF site in the southern city of Rafah, starving Palestinians arrived early as well, at around 5:00 AM. While they were waiting, Israeli tanks, gunboats, and snipers opened fire on the gathering, killing four.

“Hamas has defeated us” – Ret. Israeli Maj. Gen. Brik speaks of “collective suicide”
Retired Israeli Major General Itzhak Brik has issued a scathing assessment of Israel’s military and political leadership, warning that the country is on the verge of “collective suicide” and that the army has effectively been defeated by Hamas in Gaza.
In a blistering op-ed published on Sunday in the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Brik—who previously served as IDF Ombudsman for Soldiers’ Complaints—wrote that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are “left behind, without a response to future wars,” and are “preparing itself for the wars of the past, not the wars of the future.”
Brik, a longtime critic of Israel’s military doctrine, accused the Israeli government of leading the country into a disastrous path.
“With a political and military echelon of this type, there is no need for external enemies; they will bring disaster upon us in their stupidity,” he warned (continue reading here).

GAZA FLOTILLA UPDATE:
On Sunday, Israel Katz ordered the Israeli military to stop the ship from getting anywhere near Gaza.
“I have instructed the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] to act so that the hate flotilla … does not reach the shores of Gaza – and to take all necessary measures to that end,” Katz said in a statement.
“To the antisemitic Greta [Thunberg] and her friends who echo Hamas propaganda, I say clearly: You’d better turn back – because you will not reach Gaza. Israel will act against any attempt to break the blockade or to assist terrorist organisations – by sea, by air, and by land.”
Israeli soldiers kidnapped the activists onboard the Gaza-bound aid ship Madleen late Sunday, said the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
“SOS! the volunteers on ‘Madleen’ have been kidnapped by Israeli forces,” the international NGO, which organized the mission, said on Telegram.
UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, who was in phone contact with the ship’s captain, said: “At the time the boat was intercepted, no one is wounded — the captain asked me to record.”
The Israeli army seized the Gaza-bound aid ship Madleen, towing it to Israel, the Foreign Ministry said late Sunday, adding the activists will be deported to their countries.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has congratulated the Israeli military on its “swift” takeover of the Madleen.
In a statement on X, Katz said he instructed the military to screen a video documenting the Hamas-led October 7 attack for the detained activists upon their arrival at Israel’s Ashdod Port.
Katz had previously called climate activist Greta Thunberg an “anti-Semite” and her aid group “Hamas propaganda mouthpieces”.
Elsewhere, Katz referred to the ship, filled with humanitarians and humanitarian aid, the “hate Flotilla.”
Freedom Flotilla organizer Huwaida Arraf said shortly after contact was lost with the Madleen, “All those on board have been abducted. They were in international waters, sailing towards Palestinian territorial waters, not getting near Israeli waters.
“It needs to be made very clear that Israel has absolutely no jurisdiction, no lawful authority, to take over this vessel.”

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition posted prerecorded videos by nearly all of the people on board the Madleen, prepared in case Israel intercepted the Gaza-bound boat:
NOTE: The flotilla movement was begun by Greta Berlin, Paul Larudee, Mary Hughes-Thompson, Sharyn Locke, AND Eliza Ernshire. Afterward, Jewish Voice for Peace and some others tried to ‘cancel’ Greta Berlin and Ann Wright, despite their heroic and extremely consequential actions.

NOTABLE QUOTES:
Yasemin Acar, German activist and crew member on the Madleen: “Bombing hospitals, bombing children, these war crimes we have been watching for 20 months, and this is why we are here. We are here because our governments are not doing this. We are here because our governments are continuing to uphold this genocide, the illegal blockade on Gaza.”
The Left in the European Parliament: “Solidarity is not a crime, genocide is. Free the Freedom Flotilla crew.”
Francesca Albanese, US Special Rapporteur for Palestine: “I call it genocide because IT IS genocide. Defined by intent, not by method or means. Visible without magnification—if we look with context, at the victims: what they share is being part of a group, as such. Because of it, they get killed, tortured, maimed, starved, raped, massacred. In dozens or hundreds daily. Genocide is a process, not a single act. A collective act. A criminal venture. To end it, we must first be willing to see it.”
Mouin Rabbani of the Qatar-based Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies: “If any other state had sent its military forces to seize a small civilian boat carrying 12 unarmed civilians to deliver food, baby formula and crutches to a besieged population, it would immediately be recognized for the act of state piracy that it indisputably is. But for Israel, there’s always an exception. This is not only an act of state piracy. It’s in direct violation of the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).”
