Israeli forces killed one young man and severely wounded another person in Gaza on Tuesday.

At least 118 Palestinians have been killed and 822 others injured in Gaza since the start of a ceasefire on Jan. 19, a local health official said on Tuesday, including by direct attacks, succumbing to previous injuries, or in explosion of ordnance left behind.

92 people were killed in direct attacks by Israeli forces since the ceasefire agreement.

Medical teams have reportedly retrieved the bodies of 641 Palestinians from the rubble in Gaza since Jan. 19.

MSF: In North Gaza, the health system has been reduced to ashes

Doctor Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are now able to reach northern Gaza, which had been besieged by Israeli forces, to assess the medical and humanitarian needs. They have found an appalling situation, with nothing left.

MSF emergency coordinator Caroline Seguin commented:

There is no health system anymore in the northern part of the Strip. Kamal Adwan Hospital has been razed, while Al-Shifa, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals are seriously damaged and only partially functioning.

We were utterly shocked to observe that in Indonesian Hospital, every medical machine seemed to have been deliberately destroyed; they were smashed to pieces, one by one, to make sure no medical care could be provided anymore … These machines are made to save people’s lives—mothers, fathers, children. It’s devastating to see the state of these hospitals (continue reading here).

Top 5 Israeli violations of Gaza ceasefire, prisoner swap agreement

Israel’s violations of the ceasefire with Gaza include military incursions, gunfire, airstrikes, intensified surveillance, aid obstruction and abuses of Palestinian detainees’ rights.

A well-placed source, who requested anonymity, told Anadolu on Tuesday that Israel has committed 269 violations of the humanitarian protocol under the deal.

Military violations: “Israeli military vehicles crossed the agreed withdrawal lines along the Philadelphi Corridor in southern Rafah,” the source said. In addition, Israeli warplanes and surveillance drones have flown over Gaza, despite designated no-fly periods established under the deal.

The Israeli military also conducted 29 incursions, mostly in Rafah’s border areas. Nine incidents of shelling and direct targeting were also reported, hitting residential areas and public facilities.

Palestinian prisoners: The most notable violations included a six-hour unjustified delay in releasing detainees from the third batch, as well as cases of physical assault; other violations include delay in providing a list of prisoners scheduled for release, and transfer without coordination.

Obstruction of humanitarian aid: Among the key violations, the source said, Israeli authorities limited the entry of fuel trucks to fewer than 25 per day, despite the agreement allowing for 50.

Out of 200,000 agreed-upon tents, only 53,147 have entered Gaza, and no prefabricated shelters have been allowed in.

Additional restrictions: Israel kept Al-Rashid Street closed beyond the agreed deadline, preventing the operation of Gaza’s power plant, and blocking the entry of maintenance equipment. Other restrictions include barring livestock and animal feed entry. Israel has also obstructed cash transfers to banks and refused to replace worn-out banknotes.

Israeli statements on displacement of Gazans: Israeli political figures have continued making statements advocating for the displacement of Gazans, reflecting a lack of commitment to the ceasefire. The Israeli government has delayed implementing the agreement’s second phase by imposing unrealistic conditions.

“Despite international pressure on Israel to uphold its commitments, the current situation suggests it is imposing new conditions,” the source added.

NOTE: The only ceasefire violation Hamas has committed is a brief delay of the release of one hostage, due to logistical problems.

Another violation: Israel blocks more medical evacuations from Gaza: Ministry

The Health Ministry in Gaza reports that Israeli authorities are obstructing more medical evacuations from the Rafah crossing to the south, even refusing travel to those who previously received security clearances.

“Among today’s list of patients is a 16-year-old child with cancer who was refused travel, and the companion of another cancer patient was also refused travel,” the ministry said.

It added that only 53 people will be medically evacuated today, which is far fewer than the 150 required as part of the ceasefire agreement.

Israeli authorities have similarly blocked many patients and their companions from leaving the enclave since the start of the deal last month.

New York Times: Israeli officials confirm that Israel has violated Gaza ceasefire

The future of the cease-fire in Gaza, along with the territory’s long-term fate, hung in the balance on Tuesday as President Trump prepared to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan amid a public spat between the American leader and Hamas.

The current standoff stems in part from Hamas’ accusation that Israel has not upheld its promises for the first phase of the ceasefire.

Israel was required to send hundreds of thousands of tents into Gaza, a promise that Hamas says Israel has not kept. Speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, three Israeli officials and two mediators said that Hamas’s claims were accurate.

But COGAT, the Israeli military unit that oversees aid deliveries, said in a written response that Hamas’s claims were “completely false accusations.

Netanyahu’s ultimatum to Hamas: Resume release of captives or war restarts

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to return to “intensive fighting” in Gaza if Hamas does not reverse its decision to suspend the next round of captive releases as part of the ceasefire deal.

“If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday at noon, the ceasefire will end, and the Israeli army will return to intensive fighting until Hamas is completely defeated.” He also instructed the Israeli army to gather in and around the Gaza Strip, adding that “this action is taking place at this hour. It will be completed soon.”

Three Israeli captives were scheduled to be freed on Saturday before Hamas decided to suspend further releases due to Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Dr. Abu Safiya Reports Torture and Severe Abuses in Israeli Custody; Al Mezan Calls for His Immediate Release

Tuesday, after 47 days of arbitrary detention—during which Israeli authorities repeatedly denied him access to legal counsel—Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya met his lawyer for the first time since his abduction from Gaza.

A Palestinian healthcare worker and director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Abu Safiya was forcibly taken by Israeli forces on 27 December 2024 from the hospital in Beit Lahiya, along with several doctors, medical staff, patients, and other civilians.

Around 3 p.m. Tuesday, Al Mezan’s lawyer visited Dr. Abu Safiya in Ofer Prison, located in the unlawfully occupied West Bank. During the visit, Dr. Abu Safiya detailed the various forms of torture and abuse to which he has been subjected both during his unlawful arrest and throughout his arbitrary detention by Israeli forces and authorities.

When he was captured from Gaza and transferred to the Sde Teiman military detention camp, he was subjected to various forms of torture and inhuman and degrading treatment—methods that are emblematic of Israeli mass arrest operations in Gaza.

He reported being forcibly stripped, having his hands tightly shackled, and being made to sit on sharp gravel for approximately five hours by Israeli forces. He was also subjected to severe physical abuse, including beatings with batons and electric shock sticks, as well as repeated blows to the chest.

In Ofer Prison, where he was transferred on 9 January 2025, he was held in solitary confinement for 25 days—a period so prolonged as to constitute a form of torture in itself. During this time, he endured nearly continuous interrogation for 10 days (continue reading here).

Trump Is Bullying Jordan and Egypt to Help in Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza. It Isn’t Working.

Donald Trump doubled down on his plans to forcibly remove the 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza, though he walked back from his threat to withhold billions in aid to Egypt and Jordan unless they assisted.

Sitting next to Jordanian King Abdullah II at a White House press conference, Trump said he was “above” threatening U.S. allies in order to facilitate his idea of expelling all Palestinians from Gaza. He also promised that taking over Gaza would come at no cost to Americans.

“There’s nothing to buy. We will have Gaza. No reason to buy. There is nothing to buy, it’s Gaza, it’s a war-torn area, we’re going to take it, we’re going to hold it, we’re going to cherish it,” Trump said.

For days, Trump has been repeating his vision of a Gaza free of Palestinians and placed under American control.

The Arab world has rejected the idea — especially the countries that Trump has singled out as potential hosts for the transplanted Palestinian population: Egypt and Jordan.

In the face of that resistance, Trump floated the idea of yanking the billions of dollars in military assistance and foreign aid sends to Egypt and Jordan, long viewed as the price the U.S. must pay to maintain those countries’ peace agreements with Israel.

The U.S. has sent Egypt billions in military aid since the signing of its 1979 peace treaty with Israel in the wake of the Camp David Accords. It currently sends Egypt $1.5 billion per year, mostly in the form of military aid (continue reading here).

Army Kills a Palestinian Teen Near Hebron

Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian teenager on Tuesday afternoon, in the southern occupied West Bank.

Medical sources at Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, announced the death of the young man, Abdullah Murad Hussein Al-Faroukh, 19, in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron.

A Ma’an correspondent reported that occupation forces shot Faroukh in the chest with live ammunition, seriously injuring him, before he succumbed to his wounds.

Media sources said that a large army force invaded the town of Sa’ir, on Tuesday afternoon, stormed several stone quarries, and confiscated equipment, while firing many live rounds at citizens.

Israeli forces and settlers have killed around 900 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since October 7th.

Anadolu captures offensive graffiti by Israeli soldiers targeting Prophet Muhammad in Gaza

Anadolu captured images of offensive graffiti written in Hebrew by Israeli soldiers on the walls of Palestinian homes in the Gaza Strip, with some targeting Prophet Muhammad.

In Gaza, where Israel has been carrying out a genocide for more than 15 months, inscriptions were seen on partially destroyed buildings and walls.

Hebrew phrases including, “Muhammad is dead” and “The people of Israel live” were documented on the walls of partially demolished houses, expressing religious and nationalist sentiments.

Extremist statements advocating the killing, expulsion, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, were written on Palestinian homes, exposing the hateful mindset of Israeli soldiers.

Palestinians returning to their homes after the ceasefire deal reached between Hamas and Israel in late January were shocked to find offensive inscriptions targeting the Muslim prophet.

Israeli soldiers were also seen drawing the Israeli flag and an image of a smiling Haredi Jewish man on the walls of Palestinian homes.

Tel Aviv seeks second extension of Israeli army’s occupation of south Lebanon: Report

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked US President Donald Trump to back a new extension of the Israeli army’s presence in southern Lebanon, according to Hebrew media reports.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported on 10 February that Israel seeks to maintain its army’s presence in five border points in south Lebanon with the aim of maintaining a buffer zone in the area.

According to the report, Tel Aviv reiterated to Washington its claim that the Lebanese army is not deployed properly across the south of Lebanon in line with the ceasefire agreement and is not preventing Hezbollah from rebuilding.

The report says Israel is warning the US that Hezbollah has plans to return to the border area as soon as the Israeli army withdraws from Lebanon.

Israel has violated the Lebanon ceasefire hundreds of times.
