Every day, more and more people are waking up to the genocide and Israeli-induced famine going on in Gaza. Some are finally beginning to speak out about it.
Most important, surveys show that the majority of Americans now oppose Israel’s actions. Politico reports: “There are multiple reports that Trump’s MAGA base is appalled by Israel’s actions in the occupied territories and beginning to question U.S. aid to that country.”
But those with the power to stop it – Congress members – seem unwilling to take action.
Just this week, Democratic National Committee members rejected a resolution calling for an arms embargo on Israel – even though Democrats clearly want one. (A small handful of Dem politicians are willing to say the word “genocide” – although Democratic Whip Katherine Clark had to make amends with AIPAC when she accidentally uttered the word. A few Dem senators were willing to vote to block weapons on a bill that went nowhere.)
On the other side of the aisle, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has spoken truth to power; conservative pundit Tucker Carlson has also exposed Israel’s war crimes – as have others. But the rest of the GOP politicians appear unmoved.
We have to make more noise!
The people of Gaza can’t hold on much longer. Genocide plus famine plus indifference is a deadly combination.

Call your legislators now and every day until the killing ends.
Congress needs to stop ignoring the facts:
- Dozens of genocide scholars have declared a genocide in Gaza
- Over 100 NGOs know what is going on, and are demanding that Palestine be fed
- Over 80 are calling on Congress to merely obey US law, which forbids the US from funding groups that may be committing gross human rights abuses
- More than 100 healthcare professionals who volunteered in Gaza and saw the bloodbath with their own eyes are demanding help and protection for Gaza doctors
- Even Western mainstream media, which can generally be counted on to toe the pro-Israel line, is beginning to crack
- Israeli media have done a better job debunking Israel’s lies than our own outlets – everything from the civilian-to-combatant ratio to who is really delaying the ceasefire, to the reality of the deadly famine in Gaza
- On top of it all, the Pentagon says we need emergency funding (that is, taxpayer dollars) to replenish weapons we used helping Israel in its preemptive strike on Iran – and PS, another Iran-Israel/US war may be in the offing
When all of us demand that our elected representatives stop giving Israel American taxpayer money and American weapons, they will have to listen – and the genocide and starvation will have to end.
Together, our voices can be more powerful than AIPAC.
But we have to be loud.
And relentless.
