Professor John Mearsheimer and Judge Andrew Napolitano critique the recent statements by Israeli ministers and leaders regarding the starvation and murder of Palestinians in Gaza.
They were speaking on May 22nd, 2025, on the “Judging Freedom” program hosted by Napolitano, previously a veteran news analyst on Fox News. Prof. John Mearsheimer: Ukraine’s Last Chance for Peace.
Mearsheimer is the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Chicago, where he has taught since 1982. He graduated from West Point in 1970 and then served five years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
He then started graduate school in political science at Cornell University in 1975. He received his Ph.D. in 1980. He spent the 1979-1980 academic year as a research fellow at the Brookings Institution and was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University’s Center for International Affairs from 1980 to 1982.

.Judge Andrew P. Napolitano is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is the youngest life-tenured Superior Court judge in the history of the State of New Jersey. He sat on the bench from 1987 to 1995, when he presided over more than 150 jury trials and thousands of motions, sentencings, and hearings. He is the author of nine books on the U.S. Constitution, two of which have been New York Times bestsellers.
