NEWS & HEADLINES FROM GAZA:
For some basic info on the Palestine-Israel conflict, go here. For more critical context, skim this, this, and this. To read about a remarkable but underreported, 20-month-long peaceful protest in Gaza against Israel, go here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The number of Palestinians being killed in Gaza is lower since the October 2025 “ceasefire” began, over 320 days ago – about 4 per day, vs. over 100 per day during the 733 days of the “war.” But Israel is actively working (with Trump’s “Board of Peace“) to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its Palestinian population, even as the low-level killing continues. Genocide experts, along with organizations like the United Nations and Amnesty International, maintain that the genocide is ongoing.
A Palestinian was killed in an Israeli drone strike on Monday, while two others, including a child, died from wounds sustained in earlier Israeli attacks.
‘Starvation Engineering’: Gaza Says Israel Blocks 65% of Required Aid: Gaza authorities accuse Israel of deliberately preventing hundreds of thousands of aid trucks from entering despite commitments contained in the ceasefire agreement.
Aid supplies at critical low, heart surgeries canceled due to shortages: Dutch Red Cross: The Dutch Red Cross on Monday warned that the delivery of aid supplies has reached a critical low, with only 93 pallets of relief supplies in August, compared with more than 1,500 pallets in November last year. “This week, they stopped all heart surgeries in Gaza because there are not enough materials to perform them,” a spokesman said.
Israel’s removal of Gaza rubble risk to war crimes evidence: UN: The International Court of Justice ordered Israel in 2024 to prevent the destruction of evidence related to war crimes. States and companies removing the rubble “could incur international criminal responsibility” for destroying evidence of crimes, said the UN’s Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, on Monday.

GAZA DEATH TOLL (tentative) since “ceasefire” began Oct. 11, 2025:
- 1,352 (35% of those killed, 49% of those wounded were children, women, and the elderly)
- 5 Israeli soldiers – one by friendly fire, and four others in incidents during the first three weeks of the ceasefire.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM THE OCCUPIED WEST BANK/EAST JERUSALEM:
Every day, Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem endure dozens of incidents like the ones below, at the hands of Israeli soldiers and/or settlers. For background on the West Bank, read this and this. For information on the significance of Israeli settlers in the West Bank, read this and this.)

The Israeli army has reportedly assassinated a Palestinian man who allegedly carried out a stabbing operation that wounded a Jewish settler in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian West Bank. The settler is in moderate to serious condition. Israeli forces reportedly killed him in his home and abducted the body.
Defense Minister Israel Katz announced following the stabbing that he and PM Netanyahu have directed the army to launch an “all-out war” against “terrorism*” in the West Bank.
*NOTE: Israel’s framing of Palestinians as terrorists is a political, not fact-based choice – one that portrays Palestinians as uncivilized aggressors, and Israelis as perpetual victims – or potential victims – enabling them to claim “self-defense” as an excuse for taking disproportionate actions – in this incident, the all-out war is against Palestinians, one of whom stabbed a settler, not against the settlers who have killed dozens of Palestinians.
Palestinians planning and carrying out operations against Israel are exercising – albeit imperfectly – their internationally recognized right to resist their oppressor and occupier (the UN extends that right to the point of armed resistance). Calling Palestinians, including resistance members, “terrorists” is an attempt to delegitimize the struggle of a people seeking freedom, justice, and self-determination, and shift attention away from Jewish terrorists. It also keeps the narrative focused on what Palestinians are doing, not what Israel is and has been doing for decades.

Israel’s Smotrich calls Oslo Accords*‘ null and void,’ claims West Bank Areas A, B** belong to Israel: Far-right finance minister calls for dismantling Palestinian Authority, predicts military operation to disarm Palestinians in occupied West Bank.
*NOTE: In 1993, Israeli and Palestinian leaders signed the Oslo Accords, a deal that was meant to initiate future peace talks that would eventually lead to a two-state solution. Among the requirements spelled out in the agreement was the withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Palestinian territories it had illegally occupied since 1967.
Thirty-three years later, Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territory has only gotten more entrenched, and many would say the Palestinian people are further away from an independent state than ever before. Read more about the Oslo Accords here and here.
**NOTE: Area A covers about 18 percent of the West Bank and includes most of its major Palestinian population centers. Israeli civilians are officially barred from entering the area, with some exceptions – but recently, they have begun expanding their illegal activities into the area.
Area B covers about 22 percent of the West Bank and includes other large Palestinian towns, villages and hamlets. Area B is supposed to be exclusively Palestinian, with no Jewish settlement. Israelis are discouraged – but not officially banned – from entering the area. In recent years, however, settlement expansion has crept into Area B.
Area C covers about 60 percent of the West Bank – all the territory not included in Areas A and B. Until recent years, it was the only area with Jewish settlement, in keeping with the Oslo Accords. Hundreds of thousands of settlers live there, although it is part of Palestine.
Read more about Areas A, B, and C here.
ISRAELI MEDIA: Israeli PM Netanyahu has ordered some illegal outposts in the West Bank dismantled, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich confirmed on Sunday, amid pressure from the US to crack down on violent settlers. The order reportedly targeted around 100 outposts in Areas A and B in the West Bank. It is unclear when these evictions would take place; the Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to a request for comment on the reports.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM ISRAEL:
Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel news accurately. IAK gets the facts – sometimes from Israeli media sites, where we can get a glimpse inside this country that is rife with turmoil and contradictions, and that receives $63 million a day from America.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for the UK ambassador to be expelled “tonight”, accusing the UK government of being “antisemitic*” over London’s expected trade restrictions on goods from illegal West Bank settlements.
*NOTE: Israeli leaders and Israel partisans are quick to label speakers of inconvenient truths antisemites – then dismiss those truths. When a human rights org publishes a report, for example, or an individual states that Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal (as Mayor Mamdani did), or as in this case, a government considers trade restrictions because of Israel’s violations of international law, Israel partisans generally accuse them of spreading disinformation, being antisemitic, peddling a blood libel, or in some cases, making someone feel uncomfortable. What the accusers do not do is engage with the facts to show mistakes or lies – because the reports are legitimate and documented.

IRAN, LEBANON, & SYRIA – NEWS & HEADLINES:
