A Palestinian man, Mashhour Shaher Yassin, 51, died Thursday evening after illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers shot him in the abdomen while attacking his home in Yasuf, east of Salfit in the central occupied West Bank.

Mohammad ar-Ramahi, director of the Salfit Governmental Hospital, confirmed Yassin’s death.

Jom’a Abdul-Fattah, head of the Yasuf Village Council, said a group of paramilitary colonizers armed with clubs and firearms attacked the eastern part of the town Thursday afternoon.

Abdul-Fattah said Yassin went outside to defend his home when the colonizers shot him. Yassin’s nephew was also wounded in the attack.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medics treated Yassin for a live-fire wound to the abdomen and transported him and the other wounded Palestinian to Salfit Governmental Hospital, where Yassin was later pronounced dead.

Earlier Thursday, colonizers from the recently established “Havat Anton” illegal outpost attacked the an-Nasba area, east of Yasuf.

During the attack near the “Havat Anton” outpost, Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, wounding two Palestinians—one in the abdomen and another with shrapnel in the waist—and abducted several residents.

Israeli soldiers also stopped an ambulance in Yasuf, seized its key, and threw it away, preventing the medics from performing their duties.

Abdul-Fattah said the outpost was established near Yasuf about two months ago and that colonizers have since carried out frequent attacks on the town, including assaults with clubs and stones, surrounding homes, and attempts to steal livestock.

In a separate incident, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medics treated four Palestinians after colonizers sprayed them with a chemical irritant in Deir Ibzi’, near Ramallah.

Israeli colonizer attacks across the occupied West Bank have wounded Palestinians and caused extensive damage to homes, land, and other property.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 105 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including 25 children, five women, two elderly people, and one journalist. Of the total, 32 were killed in attacks by Israeli colonizers.
