NEWS & HEADLINES FROM GAZA:

IMPORTANT NOTE: The number of Palestinians being killed in Gaza is lower since the October 2025 “ceasefire” began, over 345 days ago – about 4 per day, vs. over 100 per day during the 733 days of the “war.” But Israel is actively working (with Trump’s “Board of Peace“) to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its Palestinian population, even as the low-level killing continues. Genocide experts, along with organizations like the United Nations and Amnesty International, maintain that the genocide is ongoing.
Three Palestinians were killed and four others, including a child, were injured Friday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip amid continued violations of a ceasefire that took effect Oct. 10, 2025.

Large volumes of medical supplies for Gaza face wait times of 74 days for Israeli clearance: WHO: ‘Every extra day in storage or in transit brings medicines a day closer to expiry, an equipment closer to being damaged before it ever reaches the person who needs it,’ says WHO representative.
Turkish Red Crescent helps elderly Gaza man walk again after Israel confiscates his prosthetic limb: ‘The Israeli army made me choose between my prosthetic limb and wheelchair; I returned to Gaza without my limb.’ Gaza faces severe shortages of components needed to manufacture prosthetic limbs.
“Everything was forbidden except breathing and swift death”: Israel’s sadism up close: “We just need you to go down into a tunnel entrance and walk forward about 20 meters. Then turn right. There’s a door there that we need you to try to open.”

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM THE OCCUPIED WEST BANK/EAST JERUSALEM:
Every day, Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem endure dozens of incidents like the ones below, at the hands of Israeli soldiers and/or settlers. For background on the West Bank, read this and this. For information on the significance of Israeli settlers in the West Bank, read this and this.)

Israeli colonizer (i.e. settler) gunfire killed Baha’ Sami Amin an-Natsha of Kafr Aqab, a 19-year-old Palestinian in Kobar, northwest of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, as separate attacks injured several Palestinians across the territory. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said colonizers fired live rounds at residents, critically wounding an-Natsha who later succumbed to his wounds.
Israeli forces prevented Palestinian ambulance crews from reaching or evacuating the wounded and providing treatment, while local sources said Israeli forces and colonizers withheld an-Natsha’s body after the shooting.
30 Palestinians killed in Israeli occupier (i.e. settler) attacks in West Bank since start of 2026: Palestinian commission says 2026 death toll more than double of last year’s total as attacks, illegal settlement activity intensify.

NEWS & HEADLINES FROM ISRAEL:
Israel is a tiny country, about the size of New Jersey, with a population smaller than the US state of Georgia – about 10 million (of which about 20 percent are Palestinians), yet it is in the news constantly. As has been demonstrated again and again, however, mainstream media rarely covers Israel news accurately. IAK gets the facts – sometimes from Israeli media sites, where we can get a glimpse inside this country that is rife with turmoil and contradictions, and that receives $63 million a day from America.
Former Israeli premier accuses Netanyahu of preparing ground for war that could delay elections: ‘We must do everything to remove him from power on Oct. 27, once and for all,’ Ehud Barak says, adding that Netanyahu “lies as he breathes, as he eats French fries, and as he leaves a restaurant without paying.”

Israeli opposition leader says young Israelis backed killing ‘everyone’ in Gaza: Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said he met a group of young Israelis who expressed support for killing all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including babies. Lapid made the remarks in a podcast interview, excerpts of which have circulated on social media platforms in recent days.
He said he heard “statements calling for killing everyone and claiming that there are no innocents.” He said he asked them: “Even babies?” According to Lapid, they replied: “Babies too, because eventually they will grow up and become terrorists.”
Israeli High Court lets Arab (i.e. Palestinian) parties run in election, reversing Central Election Committee ban: Israel’s High Court of Justice rules unanimously to reject the Central Election Committee’s decision to ban the entire Joint List of majority Arab (Palestinian) parties from running in the upcoming election, saying that the decision did not meet the requirements for disqualification.
The decision will allow parties representing Palestinians with Israeli citizenship to run in the election scheduled for 27 October.
Israel could’ve ended Gaza war, freed captives sooner: Israel ex-negotiator: Retired General Nitzan Alon says more captives could have been returned alive and a deal was possible ‘maybe a year earlier*’.
*NOTE: The Israeli hostages could have been released much earlier than Alon suggests. At the start of the war, Hamas offered to release all hostages in exchange for Israel releasing all Palestinian prisoners. On 8 November 2023, Hamas sources told news agencies that Hamas could release 10–15 hostages in exchange for a three-day humanitarian pause in fighting. On 9 November, Benjamin Netanyahu had reportedly rejected such an exchange.
Netanyahu has repeatedly delayed ceasefire agreements – he has said as much; Israeli media report it as well. It is also worth noting that about 130 of the hostages were freed due to negotiations; dozens were killed in Israeli military operations.
Israel has violated the October 2025 ceasefire over 4,300 times, killing over 1,439 Palestinians; Israel unilaterally ended the January 2024 ceasefire (after violating it almost a thousand times and killing at least 170 Palestinians in Gaza). Israel also assassinated Gaza’s chief ceasefire negotiator, and attempted to assassinate the entire negotiating team.

U.S. Weighing Sanctions on Israel Over West Bank Settler Violence*, Sources Say: Israel’s defense establishment has recently received an unusually sharp warning from the United States over settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. Senior figures in the Trump administration are reportedly monitoring every report from the West Bank, aware that the Jewish perpetrators are not “a small group” as Netanyahu claims, and that Israeli authorities are involved.
*NOTE: More than 780,000 settlers live illegally on Palestinian land in over almost 600 Jewish-only settlements and settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Some settler groups have a history of violence against Palestinians, often with the assistance of Israeli military forces. It is noteworthy that settlers are only rarely prosecuted for their crimes.
