IMPORTANT NOTE: The number of Palestinians being killed in Gaza is lower since the October 2025 “ceasefire” began, over 320 days ago – about 4 per day, vs. over 100 per day during the 733 days of the “war.” But Israel is actively working (with Trump’s “Board of Peace“) to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its Palestinian population, even as the low-level killing continues. Genocide experts, along with organizations like the United Nations and Amnesty International, maintain that the genocide is ongoing.
Israeli attacks across Gaza killed at least five people Monday, according to health officials, in 2 separate incidents. The Israeli military claimed the two attacks targeted Hamas fighters without providing evidence (see next article).

Israel to impose its curriculum on over 45,000 Palestinian students in East Jerusalem: Official: Imposing the curriculum of an occupying power on Palestinians in an occupied city is a serious violation of international humanitarian law, according to the Fourth Geneva Convention.
All Christian schools in Jerusalem suspend classes as Israel denies permits* to over 70 teachers, staff: The schools stressed students’ right to education, warning that Israel’s measures “undermine the stability of our schools and hinder their ability to fulfill their mission.”
*NOTE: COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) tells The Times of Israel: “the claim that there are dozens of teachers without entry permits is incorrect. All teachers and staff eligible for entry permits received designated permits, following security clearance and an eligibility review, before the start of the school year.”
COGAT tends to fall in line with whatever the Israeli government says – often, government statements turn out to be lies.
Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Monday under police protection, with circulating images showing him performing prayers inside*.
*NOTE: Anyone can visit the Al Aqsa Mosque grounds (known to Jews as the Temple Mount) but only Muslims are allowed to pray there, according to an understanding known as the ‘status quo agreement,’ under which, since 1967, Israel has formally pledged to allow Muslims to pray at the site, while Jews pray at the Western Wall below.
In practice, however, restrictions have steadily eroded, particularly since 2023 (after extremist Itamar Ben Gvir became Minister of National Security). Israeli settlers’ actions have grown bolder and more provocative, as Israeli police have accompanied them. Many Palestinians fear this will lead to open conflict.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced Monday the allocation of 370 dunams of land south of Bethlehem for a new illegal settlement*, as Israeli officials separately inaugurated another settlement southeast of Jenin.
*NOTE: Israel has advanced plans for tens of thousands of housing units inside Palestinian territory, and established over 160 new illegal outposts and dozens of newly approved settlements since October 2023. More than 780,000 settlers live illegally on Palestinian land in almost 600 Jewish-only settlements and settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

In a landmark advisory opinion on July 19, 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinian land “illegal” and demanded the evacuation of all settlements.
